Lol...What are you talking about?...at mid-range, Joshua was tagging him. Even Ruiz trainer during the fight was telling Ruiz to get close the distance and keep the fight close and not fight Joshua at mid-range.

With Ruiz fast hand release, when he is up close, he will always beat Joshua to the punch and Joshua can never win a fight with Ruiz if that game plan is employed.

At mid-range, Joshua can take his time and pick Ruiz apart.

Wilder is the one who I think could really look bad against Ruiz, provided Ruiz has the ability to keep Wilder defending. Wilder has been very fortunate to be able, in his fights, to decide when he wanted to attack with no pressure. There was slight pressure in the first Ortiz fight... I see Ruiz as being able to do a lot more of that if he is to be succesful.

A fighter like Ruiz just does not have reach. He uses speed, and fast feet to compensate.

If Joshua can drop Ruiz, then Wilder can hit him. Once Wilder hit Ruiz, he will fall and stay there.

precisely correct. you dont throw combinations like that inside! inside is typically in range to put a shoulderon your guy, clinch, etc. ruiz was not close enough to get clinched! he was off a little to his right and he'd land the hook. or a little to his left and he'd club wtih the right hand. or all the way to the right and he'd land the right hand high on the side of joshua's head. squared up he threw to the chest. NEVER was he leaning on joshua, joe fraziering in there. he was inside of joshua's jab and nothing else! he was not inside! he was at a middle distance where he can throw combinations and where his combos have some real mustard. just listen to the kid work pads, it's clear he's one of, if not the best combination puncher in the divison. he needs to be at the right distance to throw hard, and it's not at the end of a long right hand! it's "in the pocket" not inside.

People looking into a lot of things. How AJ looks, how Ruiz looks, sparring stories, etc. Nothing else matters but whether or not Joshua can make the right adjustments.

I'm doubtful.

You know that huh? How many people have done that to Ruiz? Also your overconfidence appears to be sizing the situation up with a common misconception. I always try to use examples and precedent.

A very strong hitter is much more dangerous when they can pick and choose when to hit. Tyson was pressured by Holyfield and could not attack him without being put on his heels. Wilder will have Ruiz on him, pressuring him. It won't be easy for Wilder to get off a clean punch.

I wish it were that easy... I stopped betting on boxing because the judges ruined it with horrendous decisions. I don't trust them. You can watch a fight play out as expected, and an obvious win, and then lose horribly because of bad judging. It is sad. I wish it worked out so one could bet and know if they execute they would win.

I just had to mention this...Not making a stand between you two guys lol, its just that I often have to tell people that this is the reality regarding judges and 'winning' or losing a fight.

It, not easy, and yes, bad decisions don't help.
But a fight needs to be competitive for a bad decision to happen.

But anyone claiming Joshua has zero chance or Ruiz has zero chance to win the rematch doesn't have a clue about boxing.

Ruiz is a 3/1 underdog for this fight last time I checked, if the OP was that confident he would be pilling it on.
