Power is generated at the core below chest and above knees , legs is just an anchor for balance. If you do both it causes a harder punch but power is also different from each fighter and at different heights .

More advantages are hook punchers with generating force ,it utilizes more muscles together and has more core motion.

You're assuming his legs aren't strong.

"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction".
The power of the punch starts with the action of the foot pressing down into the floor, the reaction is the floor pressing back up into the foot.
From the foot a kinetic chain is created traveling up the body and into the fist.
The reason a slim fighter can have great KO power is he knows (unconsciously) how to throw his mass effectively.
Trys squaring up in front of a heavy bag and throw some punches, then adjust your feet and see how much more of your weight or "mass" yo can put into your punch.

I don't think it would be accurate to say that your legs generate the power but if you haven't got a strong base, a big percentage of the power you do generate will be lost before it reaches it's intended target.

Deontay doesn’t only have skinny legs but he is skinny. Power does come from the legs but also the bone density. Some people are just heavy handed because their bones are so heavy.

Just because his legs are small doesnt mean they have no power, the guy gets all his leverage from his legs

Lol people still living in a status quo world I see!

I thought Ruiz taught you guys a lesson that everything isn’t what it seems!

Skinny legs does not mean his legs are weak, that’s purely genetics and it’s helps with explosive twitch fiber muscles when he moves or decides to square up in position to launch a punch!

Plenty of men out here who are skinny or have skinny legs but are very strong!
