How is this so hard for you to understand lad they are not even close to the same thing.

Christ by your logic a lad that works as a bricklayer is the same as a boxer because they both have jobs they might die while doing

    nobody said that....

I said, IF the subject is coping mentally with the death of another human being, at your hands... then the bottom line is pretty similar... you are responsible for a human-being losing his life.. the point is, you both knew the risks...

it's not like a soldier or a boxer are anything like a bricklayer or a plumber... who are performing a job that holds no inherent risk at all

it makes no difference at all to the dead guy

all I meant was... it would not surprise me at all if some can get over killing a man, especially accidentally... without too many problems

another example, killing a pedestrian... life-scarring for some, but I can imagine that others could get over it pretty quickly

unlike war and killing a pedestrian... in boxing, you may actually know the guy you killed... which is obviously different

That’s usually how it goes. I haven’t seen a stoppage this fast sine Ward/Kov

The only part I agree with is that some can cope with deliberate or accidental homicide.

Equating a boxer to a soldier is bloody nonsense and an insult to anyone that has ever served in the armed forces during conflict.

He gets more camera time than boxers. He can't wait to stop a fight - especially for the favorite. While I believe the count was was fair....even in Ortiz's favor, Ortiz was on his feet by 10. The round was already over. Bayless could have extended the fight if he wanted to......but he stopped it.....hmm

I don't like him. I hate seeing him officiate big fights.
I can’t STAND him! He biased as ***!!! I posted numerous pics of him in the past ref’ing fights where he is mad dogging PAC, Canelo, Maidana, basically anyone fighting Floyd. Sht he stops fights to massage Floyd’s hand????

They call him Floyd Bayless Jr. for a reason

Ortiz still had his gloves on the ground right around ten. The fight was stopped because he didn't get up in time. Still one of my favorite fighters though.

The referee's count is all that matters, so I won't be looking for stopwatches. I still don't know if he beat the count or not - there was no audio on the ref. Or at least I haven't seen a clip with good audio.

If he did beat the count then there was no need to wave it off. He was knocked down with about 6 seconds to go - round was over.

If a guy is 4 or 6 rounds up, clearly, then you let him have the minute to recover. You see it happen all the time. Should Wilder have been waved off in the first fight? He was talking punishment that would stop a fight if it wasn't for being the final seconds of a round.

I’ve seen Bayless ref. Fights and never that fast in counting. I think the PAC fight when Mosley got dropped he waited like 5 seconds before he even started counting. And there was another one I need to relook up where he stopped at 5 and then screamed 5 and put his hands in the dudes face. Then counted really slow...

Point is he didn’t even look in Ortiz eyes and I’m gonna rewatch see if he was even looking at the glove???

I only just realized that Bayless waved off Ortiz at 9 seconds (watch the fingers). I thought he didn't beat the count at first and had no problem with that until I just re-watched the count now. Ortiz was well ahead on all 3 scorecards and Bayless should have let it go into the next round. He went down with 5 seconds left and the round was over.

Sadly i think you're wrong.wilder is a straight up a$$hole and the type of personality that wouldn't be mentally hurt like a normal fighter but actually take that as bragging rights.Hes a pos that disrespects the legends of the sport as well as many fans without regard.Hopefully that ends soon.
