I have noticed no one is talking about how Hurt & scared Wilder looked in a few rds & he looked badly beaten & hurt before the ko came. He looked like he wanted no parts of trading with Ortiz because Ortiz was nullifying EVERYTHING Wilder did,but as usual & as expected "that right hand" made the difference as did that Ortiz didn't go for the ko & played it safe.During the fight there was a moment when I said "if ortiz takes foot off the gas Wilder kos him". I noticed at the time that Ortiz looked ok to continue but as usual horrible ref bayliss(I literally was on here before the fight saying what a shtty ref Bayliss is & he stopped the fight at 1st opportunity when Wilder had lost every single rd)

Bayless should have let him continue. He was up at about 9-10, could have given him the benefit of the doubt. Ortiz was winning comfortably. Quite shocked at Kenny Bayless, he used to be a top ref. Of course, Ortiz never should have made that mistake and gotten knocked down, but still, they stop fights so quickly nowadays.

He looked really nervous and bothered in the 5th or 6th I think it was. I almost thought he looked scared and shaking a bit too but highly doubt that. Probably dodgy stream. Was giving some interesting expressions and body language for a bit for sure though.

It wasn't a"dodgy stream" (I pay to see fights) Wilder was genuinely hurt & his face & body were taking serious punishment whenever he attacked(just like 1st fight but in that fight Ortiz was poorly conditioned)in this fight Ortiz unexpectedly completely let Wilder back into the fight because he let him recover when he had him hurting & retreating.(maybe because he just gets winded too easily & as Lewis or Holyfield (don't remember which 1) said before the fight"Ortiz gets concussed way too easily" )

Sorry, meant I was talking about what I saw. I can't comment on what you saw because I don't possess your eyeballs etc.

Maybe if you watch it again you'll see Wilder was retreating badly to the point it was very very uncharacteristic of him or his style.

It could be me but it just looked like he was hurting more than Ortiz til ko

                    depends on who it is

Kovalev was back in the gym the next morning

I read a few articles somewhere stating Kova was quite affected by the death of Roman Simakov. Maybe they were just trying to smooth over the Russian heel/villain Ivan Drago type view people might have of him but to me Kovalev seems like the type that would bury all his feelings from the world but couldn't hide the pain forever from those closest to him. But then again I'm speculating for the 2nd time in this thread on another man's morals/thoughts/feelings so what the hell do I know.
