  • Comments Thread For: Ortiz 'Very Upset' Bayless Didn't Let Wilder Rematch Continue

LAS VEGAS Luis Ortiz offered the same complaint Saturday night he made following his first fight against Deontay Wilder. The Cuban veteran acknowledged Wilder nailed him with a crushing shot that hurt him. Ortiz just wishes referee Kenny Bayless would've given him an opportunity to make it to the end of the seventh round.

one thing u can always count on from a Cuban boxer is EXCUSES... a whole bunch of em too. I've never seen a humble Cuban fighter who just gives props when he loses. mofos ALWAYS got a story. this fckn senile clown should thank Bayless for saving his life. reminds me of Joel Casamayor with all his post fight excuses.

Yeah of course the ref could let him finish the round or take the risk that he don't recover correctly and take another rocket and get brain damage or die.

Finally im 100% sure his family agree the ref choice.

Wilder has stated he wants a body on his record. The way these guys keep acting like the should have continued, Wilder will eventually get one

Have to agree that Fury got a longer count. Once the fighter is on his feet the ref usually stop counting. It looked like he got up right at nine. Bayless could have stopped counting to ask if he wanted to continue. That being said, credit to Wilder. I think he's proven to have a hell of a chin and it was a great KO.

Why wasn’t there anyone on the side counting as Bayless was instructing wilder to his corner? He actually was allowed extra time
