Ortiz took 14 whole seconds to get up. Ref waived it off at 9 and didn't bother counting 10. It was not a fast count. Ref saw that Ortiz was not ready. Why are some people acting like they didnt see the meme of Ortiz with the look in his eye like he knocked into a new dimension? He had his right arm tucked under his right leg. Ya'll are bloodthirsty and wanted Wilder to Finish Him Mortal Kombat style.
Daniel Jacobs knockdown eyes were crazy against Purog, but would have beat count. Ref waived it off. It happens

I think people just need to accept that Wilder is better than Ortiz, it dont matter how many rounds your ahead if you then get knocked out. He may have been able to fight on or he may not have, but he was never going to win this fight. I'm not a massive fan of this ref but I hope he sensed that Ortiz was gone and to continue would have been pointless.

I got this thing I call a “stopwatch”, I tend to refer to it when a question comes up about elapsed time. My watch says 12.1 seconds, though it may seem longer or shorter to you depending on where your head is at.

Kenny Bayless is a very overrated referee. My stomach turns whenever I see he's officiating. He's borderline biased and dirty. He's always in the action. He doesn't let boxers box. He gets more camera time than boxers. He can't wait to stop a fight - especially for the favorite. While I believe the count was was fair....even in Ortiz's favor, Ortiz was on his feet by 10. The round was already over. Bayless could have extended the fight if he wanted to......but he stopped it.....hmm🤔
I don't like him. I hate seeing him officiate big fights.
