Notwithstanding the tragedies that have occurred in boxing, I still say that referees stop fights too quickly in the modern era. It's not good at all. I'm not saying Ortiz would have come back well in round 8 and won, but he was up before 10 and that the end of the round. We should have had a round 8, unless Ortiz didn't want to continue, but Im sure he would have fought on. Wilder would have likely have finished the fight then but yes, disappointed in a once great referee Kenny Bayliss. Fury will either outbox Wilder or get ko'd, it's that simple. Ortiz needed a ref like the Fury-Wilder I fight last night, would not have ended in rd 7.

We all know what kind of fighter Wilder is. He's no great boxer. He comes to deliver a one punch knockout. IMO, he did just that. We are some of the most critical people. Its fighters literally loosing their lives in this sport and you all talking about the fight stopping short.
That's not Wilder's fault. Hell, be mad that Ortiz went down in the first place. To all you BombSquad haters who said the cab driver would win. I have two words for you morons,

But Cuban outboxed him untill got caught! We saw knoknout, but did we saw boxing in this fight, by a champion? Wilder was waiting and losing rounds. True championship strategy for underdog, but not for the domestic star. After this, he must meet Fury and win most of rounds, doesn't matter how long fight will continue. Or we will admit that Wilder is hand-made champion not capable to wear WBC belt!

I had it 4-2 Ortiz going into the 7th but he was by no means dominating this fight like some people here say. He barely landed anything clean. He started dropping his hands in the 7th & Wilder took advantage...

The two best opponents Wilder has beaten are still an old Ortiz and an old Stiverne. That's some achievement for a guy who has 43 fights + who has been world champion for 4 and a half years.

It’s embarrassing to watch this guy get hyped and hyped and stats like the best KO ratio of all time, anyone can do that if they fight tomato cans for 38 fights, he fights one guy, Fury and he basically he loses and needs the men in the background to fudge him the win. Mike Tyson must be watching and wishing he could be active and get inside the guy and smash him to bits.
Then to here him say ‘I am specialist on my back feet’ wtf the guy trips over his own feet going backwards. Then he says ‘Luis one of the best in the world’, on what evidence? The only story he can push is he had been ducked, but seriously he won nothing, he’s a tomato can. I can’t wait to see him get iced and I will keep watching him until it happens on bit ******* (cos he ain’t getting a dollar from me).
