Rahman: "Russians Won't Sweep Titles on My Watch!"

The Baltimore Sun reports that Hasim Rahman has been training like a fighter going to war. Apparently Rahman has training at the Pound-4-Pound Gym located in Big Bear Lake, California and is busting up his sparring partners without mercy. [details]

wouldn't put too much stock in his training. He trained his ass off for Vitali, got a blown up slob in Toney instead and only got a draw. He will lose again...1 billion says its so, any takers...just two this time please!~

I wish Rahman would drop the national-pride angle and just fight for himself. I guess the promoters have pushed him in this direction but it is really ridiculous and I feel almost forced to root against him. It's also pretty ignorant that we confuse all Eastern Europeans for 'Russians' and thereby fall into the American stereotype.

Funny that he said "the only person who can lose this fight is me." I know what he meant to say but he should insist on the right to edit his interviews.

Yeah Mark Vester and Rahman are both ****ing idiots, Maskaev is Kahzastani not Russian. Its arrogant to call all Eastern Europeans Russian. Thats like calling Puerto Ricans Mexican or Persians Arab.

I hope Maskaev sends his ass through the ropes again, but its not likely the guy is now 37 years old. The Rahman Maskaev KayOed was prime.

I don't know, you underestimate Toney, even though I haven't seen that fight in a while, I remember Rahman looking very good against him, but I need to go back & watch it. He's learned alot since he got KOed so we'll have to just wait & see, but I think Rahman can hold his own with any other HW champ.
