Just like Ramirez, these big guys might be boiling down to a weight that ultimately hurts them.
It's not a matter of style, it's a matter of size. Smith really struggled with the smaller man. Canelo would have learned a lot about Smith from this fight and will exploit what he saw.

I've been saying it for years, Callum Smith is an overrated bum. All the Smith brothers are garbage to be honest, we just hype them up for no reason

        Now Canela will fight him...

So this will be Canela’s next opponent for sure!! Saw how crappy Smith looked and will take the next “calculated risk”... I would love to see Canela fight Caleb Plant!

Sadly I think he’s been around long enough to know Hearn has big plans for Smith with the stadium fight, so he knows he wasn’t getting a decision and just accepts that’s how the business is

Paying of those judges will certainly pay off for Hearn then.

That will 10-20 million coming into matchroom.

I'd be surprised if Canelo suddenly fought the way Ryder does and have the stamina to pull that off. We see how it isn't the most difficult thing to get past Smith's jab, but Canelo has an even shorter reach than Ryder. He'd be giving up 8 1/2 inches. Not to mention Canelo is orthodox, which the southpaw stance I think caused Smith more problems than he was anticipating. Like I said, I'd still favor Canelo, but fighting anything like Ryder isn't the most feasible outcome.

And it begins. The quest for the next boogeyman. Earlier this year it was Bivol, he had a subpar fight so it switched to Callum Smith, he just had a bad performance so it just switched to Caleb Plant. The haters are ridiculous 😂

Been getting condemned by some Brit lovers on here for saying that Smith is a good fighter but isn't proven enough at the highest level. This fight showed just that. Ryder shoulda got the nod in this one. No idea how this fight was scored that wide for Smith(or scored for him at all). Even more convinced that guys like Benavidez & Plant will give him that work.

But Ryder won that fight IMO, I had a great vantage point at ringside and had it 115-113 Ryder and if I’m brutally honest I could’ve had it wider.

                      117-111 is a DISGRACE!
Terry OConnor is a disgrace. They must have been paid.
