If the third fight happens Golovkin certainly won't be a monster because he'll be 38+ years old coming off a hard fight with Derevyanchenko. Therefore Canelo has suddenly changed his stance from "The third fight with Golovkin doesn't interest me" to "If it makes business sense I'll do it".

Canelo's a great fighter, but the preferential treatment he practically demands every fight makes him very unlikeable as a person.
Thanks bruh! P4P #1 is da bidness!

if golovkin wanted the canelo fight sooner than "anyone from 154-168" should have at least considered a CW even if just to call canelos bluff.....but golovkin never once considered it....you snooze you lose its that simple.....the gggroupies claim that golovkin would go go 154 for Floyd...well guess what? canelo is the next best thing and is the biggest in the sport with Floyd gone

      so why wouldn't he budge?
It’s weird logic like this ^^that keeps fans loyal I guess to a fighter who is making history. In the history of boxing, no fighter ever has been able to use money as a tool so effectively to gain advantage in the ring. It’s becoming so accepted among the faithful that they are genuinely puzzled when a fighter won’t capitulate.

Golovkin was no monster at 36, because you waited out 3 years then dropping the belt

but I thought Floyd did ? right...I mean he dictated weights and who could wear what gloves and whatever right?

all money men have been able to dictate that's how it goes....

im not loyal to canelo or anyone

but I recognize that golovkins words never matched his actions...most of what he said/did was fraudulent

Canelo fans like to rag on GGG for not moving up to fight ward and suggesting a catchweight of 164.

Now imagine 155lb Canelo telling GGG who is in the same class to come down to 155.

Oh but Canelo is the A side!

In ward vs GGG who do you think the A side is? GGG.

IMAGINE GGG telling Callum smith hell only fight him but at a catchweight of 161 with a rehydration clause LMFAO.

Golovkin is nothing but he was never a 5 to 1 underdog like Kovalev. Golovkin was nothing but as soon as he edged a fight out

In vegas with home team scoring
              PED boost
Another full year aging GGG (5 YEARS NOW)
with scores if 115x2 and 114-114

He ran instead of making the fight conclusive. Oh GGG is nothing that's why it's the best name on his resume. Oh. GGG is nothing but Canelo doesnt want a fight until GGG is 39 years old.

              Lmfao. Canelos a killer.
Y’all claim Canelo couldnt make 154 anymore but he made 154 against Liam Smith after all those fights at 155...

GGG wasn't expecting that there is a thing called counter punching, or in Tagalog, counter funching..

He could of, should have stepped to Ward and tried his hand at being great. I would have bet the house on ward.

GGG can go up to 68 or 75 right?

Canelo took that Veil of Invisibility from GGG. No boogie man monster there. Nope, just a tough plodding puncher, who is open to be countered by a guy who can stand there and hit back..

GGG seemed to have everything, Abel Sanchez being his Sancho Panza, and puffing him up.. anyway...

I agree that Canelo is protected...cannot lose a decision anywhere in the Western Hemisphere.

                    However....

It's also true that he is a helluva counterpuncher. You throw a punch at him, you'd better land because something is coming back at you. Kovalev admitted this was true when he was asked why he didn't use his right hand. He said very clearly because he was aware of getting hit by a counter left hook from Canelo.

It's a risk reward calculation. Smith was a huge underdog and there was little risk for Canelo going into this fight. Making 154 for one fight against a non threat isn't something to brag about.
