honestly speaking, i think hatton would have a better chance at beating floyd at 140 than 147. with floyd knowing this he'll probably take the fite at 147 if they ever fought. i dont blame p4p for doing this seeing as how one would do what they can to increase there odds of winning a particular fite.

Agreed that 140 gives Hatton the better chance. And I have no issues when to make a BIG fight, fighters move around in weight. But the constant jumping for paper titles is sort of bothersome because it creates confusion as to who is champ of what division... example is Hatton the 140 lb. champ or one of the champs at 147? If fighters generally stayed at their prime weight this wouldn't be so confusing.

The guy walks arround at like 180 between fights he doesn't need to gain any weight to get up to the 147 division.
180 lbs, and it's fat. When Hatton is at 140 he is muscle. He is small for a 147 lbs fighter. Everyone has a different type of body. I believe Hatton is an ectomorph.

Also some people don't know that unlike most boxers he has short arms for his size. The more he has to face taller fighters the more of a disadvantage he is at.

LOL @ the kid who said "Collazo's footwork can't compete with Mayweather's". Do you even know what footwork is? Tool.

Collazo isn't very smart as most of you can tell. He's not even a big star and I guess he expects to sit on his ass and get another title shot. Even with Don King behind him he wont be able to negotiate **** because nobody knows about him. He should do what a good champion would do and get active and start FIGHTING.

Hatton doesnt gain 40 pounds of fat between fights and lose it in a month.
                That is impossible.

I would also like to see him more active, but he doesn't really have any attractive offers on the table. Do you think that Collazo has better footwork than Floyd? I think both have very good footwork but would rate Floyd's a little better. But I might be biased because I have seen more of Floyd's fights.

Hatton's training camp is 2 months, not one month. Besides, I'm sure he starts dieting a little bit before he even enters training camp. When he is in the ring he goes up to about 147-149.

Amagnin, there's alot of guys here who know nothing about the actual sweet science of the sport. I was talking to a guy a few months back who was telling me that Margarito punches from 'looping angles'. He then said that when you throw an uppercut, an overhand right, and a hook you are making angles .....

Collazo doesn't have Mayweather's "footspeed", but his footwork is top notch. He is never off balance and he throws his combinations with perfect technique and torque. He shifts his weight perfect just like Mayweather. Don't let any other fool tell you otherwise.

And FYI about Hatton, he usually has a 8 week training camp, and he comes to the fight around 150-152 but for Tszyu he had 12 weeks and he came in at 148. He was noticeably smaller then usual and seemed alot more energetic that fight.
