I see your point that he is coming off of a loss. But his performance in the loss makes me intersted to see a Collazo-Margarito fight. Hatton comes forward and throws a lot of punches sort of like Margarito (not exactly). And Margarito seemed to be somewhat troubled by Santos who is also a southpaw. I just think it could be a good match of slick-boxer versus big puncher. -
with all do respect y do u think hatton is going back down in weight? i ll answer this one for u: its cuz collazo showed him that the 147lb. division aint no joke and that the competition is way tougher. hatton knows hes jeoparodizing his career in the 147lb. welterweight division.Originally posted by Super_Lightweight... but Hatton is going to 140 so he probably won't get it.

that lost was bull****...he beat hatton...and he would damn sure beat margi...that dude is all hype over nothing...didnt he get whipped about 4 times already.......Originally posted by Super_LightweightI don't mean to be harsh, but when you lost your last figh to a smaller guy, even if it is Hatton, it makes it difficult for you to call someone like Margarito out. Collazo deserves a rematch with Hatton, but Hatton is going to 140 so he probably won't get it.Comment

The loss wasn't 'bull****'. It was just a close fight.
Hatton says he didn't have much time to get his weight on for 147, and I believe him. He'll probably look better in his next fight vs a 147 guy. But Hatton should stay at 140, and there's no shame in that. Collazo is a good fighter, but since he is coming off of a loss that fight would mean less for Tony than if Tony beat someone like Rivera.Comment

There are rumors of it in his camp.Originally posted by MR. There have been a few press releases that alluded to him moving back down to 140.Comment

hes a professional. gaining weight or losing weight is part of the job, so who cares if he supposedly didnt have enough time to gain wait. as far as im concerned those r excuses.
good point.but since he is coming off of a loss that fight would mean less for Tony than if Tony beat someone like Rivera

I agree and actually wish more fighters would stay at their prime weight rather than jumping all around to make fights. I think it would help to sort out a lot of the confusion as to who are the "real champions." Mayweather and Hatton CAN both fight at 147, but imo SHOULD be fighting at 140.Originally posted by Super_LightweightThe loss wasn't 'bull****'. It was just a close fight.

The guy walks arround at like 180 between fights he doesn't need to gain any weight to get up to the 147 division.Comment
