I wonder if ESPN knows about this and it they condone it. I said years ago the reason the media hated Andre Ward was because Goossen was good to them. He'd fly them out AND pay for their rooms. That's why Ward got so much hate for leaving Goossen. And that's why the media hated PBC. They don't do this type of thing.

You have every right to offer but it is up to the boxing media to turn it down. It creates a conflict. You then have media members beholden to you and less apt to criticize when necessary.

I don't think this is a new thing is it? Nor is it confined to boxing. 'Hospitality' by promoters is so normal as to pass without comment in the music industry and movies, why did you imagine it wan't going on in boxing?

You not noticed that boxing journalists appear to have network or promotional affiliations before? You can't have been paying that much attention, man.

Shit, everyone already knows all journos are working an angle, what worries me more is the hospitality and payment system for judges and refs... now that's a good gig.
