They would definitely lose money on this event, but sometimes you got to lose money and hope to recoup it in the future, maybe they would hope they get that back from the Fury rematch or rematches, depending on how well ESPN makes the deal with PBC/FOX for the Fury/Wilder fights, it ESPN knows PBC are desperate for that fight then they might do two fights with PBC (They obviously lost money on Fury’s last two fights too), or ESPN might insist PBC put Spence on the line for bud.

They might all put each other out of business.

i love it...mr pauper wilder is banking 20 mil from this and the haters are in an absolute frenzy!!!! its hilarious to watch you clowns in a tizzy over wilder banking the big bucks....dude is by far the highest paid US born boxer.....and he made the 4th most money in the last year in combat sports!!! thanks to DAZN, AJ and hearn or whomever you clowns want to thank and feel is responsible!!! lol

you guys do realize that networks have had to take a loss on a fighter today in order to get a piece of something bigger later right? showtime took losses on floyd fights in order to have a piece of the big ones

some feel a fury rematch could do 1 million buys...if AJ gets the belts back and that fight could happen its huge....fox could have a piece of wilder/fury and or wilder/aj down the line ...they are betting and ******** too....but having a piece of those fights would be big if wilder keeps winning

Pbc / beyonce shills: its the damn ticket brokers! Goes on to try explain dazn failure not knowing dazn's model. Throws in obligatory 'idiots' to convince himself he knows what he is talking about.

I go off what i see on pbc channels, and its desperation. 100 videos a day on this fight, never seen this level of promotion. It's a flop for sure

No hate at all. Credit to Wilder! He's not a draw on his own, but has managed to secure good purses despite not being a draw at the gate or at PPV.

He's managed to use his own position as a potential opponent for Fury or AJ, to his advantage.

              Kudos.

They're all spending big now for jam later.

Thing is, they can't all get the future share of those fights. Hard to ever see AJ vs Fury/Wilder ever being shared between DAZN and a PPV. And Fury going to Top Rank already scuppered the rematch once - I'll believe that one happens when I see them in the ring.

They can't all get the big fights. At least not 100% of the big fights. And shared broadcasts aren't exactly common.

                Seems a big gamble.

"some" people indeed. you know you could use that line to justify just about anything, oh and you do.

what jam later? floyd was doing a million buys a ppv when he secured that big showtime deal so not sure why people are comparing wilder to floyd and they still lost money on floyds ppv's unless they cleared 1.5 million or more. wilder will be clearing what 200k for this piece of crap, but dont worry the better ones like against fury the huge star will be later. 325k! wouldn't be so bad if they werent paying wilder 20 million a fight, and i bet he will want more for that fury rematch! once you overpay a guy its very hard to explain to him that you have been overpaying him and you can't give him any more money for harder "bigger" fights. they become entitled and think their financial success is all their doing when in reality they were just a pawn in a network bidding war. its very hard to sit them down and explain to them how your real worth is about as much as a used 84 pinto.

... as if wilder was a "pauper" until now... (in fact, aren't you "projecting" yourself into this supposed "pauper position"???)...
