Exactly. He knew that taking a fight only two months past a grueling win at his age was a high risk venture. So he's taking heat for Canelo and his evil team making a guy meet those limitations? FFS....none of us would turn down that contract; and if he did, the Caneloistas would say "Kovalev is ducking Canelo".

And in addition, he and McGirt knew there was NO WAY IN HELL he was going to win a decision.

Really *****ed because he did well to avenge the loss to E. Alvarez the way he did and beat a younger contender type in Yarde...he had come back from a lot and now all that will be washed away. He'll never get the proper credit for outboxing Ward in the first fight and then avenging the KO loss to E. Alvarez, no small feats imo.

Team Canelo took advantage of the situation, but all the variables going against Kov were well known beforehand, there weren't any secrets about that(except maybe the rehydration limit)....it was always a Weekend at Bernie's situation...Duva, Oscar, the lawyer for the women who are suing him would have carried him to the ring to make sure he made that fight.

I mean, you saw him before the fight...when nobody was around to prop him up, he was laid out lifeless on the couch.

Circumstances didn’t matter, he was losing this fight because he can’t take a punch cleanly anymore and I said that on here but folks need to make the narrative favorable to their fandom so they pollute this site with bullchit like “I’m worried for Canelo in this fight” worried about what? A gun shy boxer who now fights at a distance exclusively behind the jab because he’s scared to get hit and wobbled..

Didnt he almost win the fight. I mean if it woulda went the distance it was close & we were getting close to the finish line.

So that being the case this sounds like some weird bad loser sh^t to me or excuse making & anger about losing.

Kov is an odd dude & a bad loser for such a high level cat whos had a HOF caliber career.
