I don’t know if the extra time made a difference, but the point is that it might have. We’ll never know in this case. Deontay was hanging on at the bell. He might’ve been a little out of sorts at the bell, and got that little extra time to clear his head.
Well the good news in a way is that Luis has another chance to right that wrong, if that was the case...I have always been partial to lefties who can box, and I like the Cuban style...so I will look forward to catching this one and seeing if Ortiz still has something left.

I don’t know if you’ve seen any of Ortiz’s recent training videos and pics, but he’s looking pretty good. I’ve picked Wilder all along in the rematch, and I still do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Luis pulls this one out. He looks like he’s worked hard. Let’s see what it’s really all about next week.

I like an underdog story...and honestly after all this 'marinate' bull.**** all these guys, especially the HWs are doing, I hope Ortiz can pull it off.

Just has to avoid the big shot(s)...he should outbox Wilder as long as it lasts...I thought he was boxing Wilder up better than Fury was...I thought Fury only separated from Wilder in the last 6 rounds while Ortiz was basically winning all the rounds he didn't get dropped in.

That’s the problem with guys like Wilder. It’s like they used to say about Tyson: Twelve rounds is a long time not to get hit. Deontay has that lights out power that can end a fight any minute, even if he’s lost every round. Luckily for Ortiz, he’s no slouch himself in the power department.

It’s a New York State thing since they lost lawsuit. It happened twice in Beterbiev/Hot Rod

No problem. Since noticing it in the Wilder fight, i've started noticing it more and more. Seems it happens at least once every card in NY now. Happened in the Thurman tune up too if I'm not mistaken.
