BJ Flores vs Beibut Shuminov. Previous to this fight BJ was actually a ringside analyst for one of the networks (I think PBC) but Beibut made Flores look so ****** in the ring, there was one break between rounds where Flores' corner implored their man to cut off the ring and BJ looked at them and said, "How?"

Amir Khan and Broner
Naturally gifted with talent but cannot employ it in the ring once things don't go their way.
Verdejo is another one. Can't adjust and keeps doing the same thing over and overComment

I feel like all these guys you mentioned have the capacity for high IQ, but cannot implement it. Like they know what they have to do and have the ability to do it, but they don't.
That's more so of what I think about this thread title because there are a lot of really dumb fighters out there with with 1-100 records etc. They suck.Comment

Even though he can change as of 2019 I will also say Jaime Munguia. He's been able to physically bulldoze his opponents but Hogan showed that if Jaime can't do that then he's out of ideas.Comment

That is a good observation, they have all the moves 'But lack creativity and mathematically tactics inside of the ring'. A fighter with high ring IQ, will not really need to be told what to do? It will come natural to them, just like certain snooker players can envision 2-3 shots ahead in the game 'Ronnie O'sullivan was once described to have this ability' Fighters such as Mayweather, Hopkins even Roy Jones could predict what moves and tactics their opponents where going to use. 'Fighters such as Chris Eubank Junior REACT to things what happen to them inside of the ring'. It is this ability to almost warp time inside of the ring, was the attribute basically that made fighters psychologically give up against Floyd Mayweather 'And fall into a routine of implementing the same moves continuously' I have seen no fighter since his retirement who has this ability 'None'.
Anthony Joshua's Ring IQ has greatly improved, but that has been through pure diligence to improve, it honestly does not come natural to him 'You can almost see him thinking inside of the ring'.
Tyson Fury's ring IQ is overrated also, Wladimir Kiltschko would of beaten him in the rematch, Fury at elite level thus-far has been a one trick pony.
If, and that's a big IF, he makes tactical changes and defeats Ruiz in the rematch, we can revisit this line of thinking.Comment

Good post except for the Joshua part. AJ in fact displayed extremely low boxing IQ versus Ruiz...thinking inside the ring? He was thinking about where he could get out of the ring while Ruiz was battering him from post to post. Forgot about the left hook, which was his most effective punch, and didn't grab and hold while he was hurt.
If, and that's a big IF, he makes tactical changes and defeats Ruiz in the rematch, we can revisit this line of thinking.
I don't want to see a quick knock out, I would rather Joshua win via completely breaking down Andy Ruiz Junior 'As a fighter Joshua needs that kind of victory, for his own self belief'.Comment

His ring IQ is not great, but it has improved 'It is in no way of a high level'. That is why this rematch is very intriguing, if Joshua does not improve his ring IQ, basically the same result could happen.

This is a big crossroads fight for AJ. He can pull a Lennox Lewis and come back from a KO, or just become another Frank Bruno...good but not great.
We'll see. I'm really looking forward to this bout!Comment
