Ward saw DAZN made Kovalev pull all his punches. He knew ballpunch combos would be off limits and that the judges, ref, DAZN and everyone's mother would be all in on rigging the fight for Canelo. If he punches Canelo even within 2 feet of his balls, he is getting DQ'd.

It wont be like when he was the favored one vs Kovalev and allowed to cheat. The tables will be reversed. He dont want anything to do with this fight.

I like ward although his status as an ATG has always bemused me. That is a fight I'd like to see although I feel ward is correct in what he says.

Yeah Yeah only reason Ward won't come out of retirement is because the most he could make to fight Canelo is 10-15 million. If he was offered Mayweather type money like 30-50 million for a Canelo fight it'd be a total different story.

He should just be honest and stop frontin. There just isn't enough money to entice him to come out of retirement and fight Canelo.
