I suggest you go back and finish high school. He is mixed race. His father is white and his mother is black. It's that simple. There is no "choice" in the matter.

Eh I mean he had all the cards stacked in his favor at 168 man...all his fights at home, and imo he needed them as I didn't see him really separate much boxing wise from most guys he fought....I think Andre was a tough smart fighter...but I think he got away with quite a bit 'dirtiness' wise, and also wasn't really winning rounds that cleanly...and so he knew that he had to fight at home to keep that 0 in tact.

If he wasn't so concerned about that he would have fought Bute in Canada for big money, or rematched Froch at 175 for big money...I think that is pretty clear...there's just no way around that really...I give him credit for even facing Kov...but honestly after those cards in the first fight, it seems like something was up going in, and maybe Andre knew that all he had to do was go 12 rounds and he could get the W on the cards...so I wonder how much of a risk that even was.

I thought he was beating Kessler before the stoppage but that win was a bit tainted as well...I felt he was getting outboxed again vs Kov before that stoppage, which unfortunately was controversial too...only good win with no controversy I have for him is over Froch, and I had that one 7-5 as two of the judges did...Andre was a level above Froch that night imo but he also gave away some rounds late.

So yeah I think in a neutral type setting Andre would struggle to win a lot of fights, against Canelo included...I said before that I think if they fought in a neutral setting (location/refs/judges) it would probably be a close fight that was not too entertaining...they are both counter punchers and you could end up with a boring fight like Lara-Canelo, except with not as much movement from Lara/Ward and maybe even less action.

Well put. I saw Ward come up. His knocks are he was often partime and hometown. Got the comeback bias vs Kovalev. Got credit for not getting stopped while Kovalev got ripped for not stopping him. Not sure what to make of rematch, though he was prolly winning. I wish he would comeback to fight Canelo. He’d get so much extra credit just because we don’t expect it. I mean it could change his whole narrative. Sigh. Beterbiev!!!
