While I'd favor Ward to beat Canelo because of the style matchup there is a reason Hunter has said numerous times that he only would advise Ward the fight if the were tot ake 2 tune up fights.

Most of the people are making it look like a 2 year retired Ward is gonna school Canelo and that imho is not the case.

Take a look at Breadman's recent mailbag, it's not an easy fight for Ward but he would be the favorite thou.

Canelo is def the A side but the idea of Ward protecting his 0 is silly.

I once would've agreed with you,but at nelos moment right now,I even say he beats Beterbieve at lhw imho(too 1 dimensional & I been a huge Beterbieve fan but styles make fights & Nelos the only 1 at lhw I'd favor over Beterbieve right now for several reasons) but since I think that I definitely think he beats Ward,if Ward was still active I would say it would still be 50/50 because Ward has always been considered completely featherfisted til he stopped Kovalev controversially. And Ward is just like a bigger slower,lighter punching version of canelo at lhw. There's no single thing he does better than Nelo,hed rely solely on size & naturally bigger advantages,reach etc. Nelo struggles much more with slick defensive fighters,Ward while defensive is far from slick & he probably wouldn't be able to keep Nelo from combo'ing his body,face. Too slow
