Canelo is def the A side but the idea of Ward protecting his 0 is silly.
Ward cleaned the 168 division and then beat the man at 175 albeit controversially but him “protecting” his 0 with Canelo is silly. Ward beats Canelo any day of the week and twice on Saturday

Eh I mean he had all the cards stacked in his favor at 168 man...all his fights at home, and imo he needed them as I didn't see him really separate much boxing wise from most guys he fought....I think Andre was a tough smart fighter...but I think he got away with quite a bit 'dirtiness' wise, and also wasn't really winning rounds that cleanly...and so he knew that he had to fight at home to keep that 0 in tact.

If he wasn't so concerned about that he would have fought Bute in Canada for big money, or rematched Froch at 175 for big money...I think that is pretty clear...there's just no way around that really...I give him credit for even facing Kov...but honestly after those cards in the first fight, it seems like something was up going in, and maybe Andre knew that all he had to do was go 12 rounds and he could get the W on the cards...so I wonder how much of a risk that even was.

I thought he was beating Kessler before the stoppage but that win was a bit tainted as well...I felt he was getting outboxed again vs Kov before that stoppage, which unfortunately was controversial too...only good win with no controversy I have for him is over Froch, and I had that one 7-5 as two of the judges did...Andre was a level above Froch that night imo but he also gave away some rounds late.

So yeah I think in a neutral type setting Andre would struggle to win a lot of fights, against Canelo included...I said before that I think if they fought in a neutral setting (location/refs/judges) it would probably be a close fight that was not too entertaining...they are both counter punchers and you could end up with a boring fight like Lara-Canelo, except with not as much movement from Lara/Ward and maybe even less action.

Nelo fighting a lhw late in the night with a morning of weigh in,is not a good enough reason to try to discredit his win. If he actually dragged him down youd have a point,but its ****** to expect tiny nelo to allow fighters to come in at hw without even a slight slow down such as morning weigh in of 10 lbs over who are much bigger than him,& especially if they are allowed extra time to rehydrate like kov was since fight was already scheduled til after all ufc fights. It should be considered unfair for the 6'+ fighters to not do a next day weigh in

Theres no cheating when Kovalev is the one who volunteered,theres no cheating when ibf has said rule & kov used to hold ibf. Maybe if you can't debate with the big boys without such pathetically weak excuses then you should stop hating & give credit where its due to the only midget doing remotely near what hes doing & even other 6'3" giants such as Smith,Charlo/Andrade/Jacobs etc. wouldn't dare fight a lhw champ or they would have, or they'd be in the process of calling them out.(even guys at lhw waren't lining up before nelo was vs Kovalev). Hell those guys wont even fight a 168 lb champ,but you have no problems with that because they aren't the ginger.)

Andre Ward would get Knocked Out by Canelo. Canelo hits a lot Harder than Andre Ward. Canelo is a Much Better Defensive Fighter than Ward. Good Idea by Andre Ward to Reject a Fight with Andre Ward because Andre would get Knocked Out !!!
