Canelo vs. GGG - Cherrypicking

It's pretty much put me off posting here lately all the Canelo *** riders.
It's almost as if they are brainwashed or something to believe in what he's doing is far superior to other fighters.Comment

Man I hear ya...I just try and not let it bother me...we all have our opinions ya know...but it is frustrating at times when people swear by one version that suits them, especially when that version doesn't always stack up to how I see it...it's like wtf man lol.
I think Canelo is great...but yeah he certainly has had some help with his career/matchmaking/judging..I made a thread before that I really don't see where his resume is over and above what GGG's is...that's not really to hype GGG...he is 37...but the fact that so many people seem to think that Canelo's list is just extraordinary and GGG's is garbage..I mean it doesn't make sense to me when I look at it.
I like to talk boxing and having a good debate though and there is still some of that on here...but yeah some people's ability to see exactly what they want to see, I mean I don't get it lol...I have my biases too but I try to be neutral when I look at things...I don't really have my self-worth tied up in any one guy doing well so I feel like that helps to just call it like I see it.Comment

one guy has forged a great HOF resume...
the other guy has a poor resume and no career-defining fight
not unless you count Derevy
LMAO... not... even... close
even dumber than the Bradley vs Crawford thread
Canelo passed Golovkin a looooong time ago, and Golovkin has done NOTHING to catch upComment

Straight up I would say GGG's resume of fighters fought is a bit better than Nelo's right now...but Nelo is much younger so he is ahead of GGG in that regard...I would also say GGG has done quite a bit better than Nelo in his fights as well, so he would be a level or two above Nelo in my book...and he basically showed that in their 2 fights really, and that was at 35+ years old.one guy has forged a great HOF resume...

GGG definite ATG at MW and maybe the GOAT there imo...only a couple guys all-time would I favor/put the odds close and they aren't necessarily the ATGs at MW...McClellan and RJJ come to mind first...Hagler Monzon etc would be too small for today's MWs...but even their resumes compared to GGG aren't really that great imo.Comment

it is not even close, you bum-licking fool
for the last time son, Lemieux and Murray and not better than Canelo and Jacobs loooool
I will add the comment in bold to your list...
thinks that Golovkin has a better resume than Canelo.....
----------------------------I just made a thread about specifically why people rate Canelo's resume as better than GGG's...and I laid out my case as to why I rate GGG's better.....
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=820918
thinks that one of the " killers " on Golovkin's resume could have beaten Canelo.... but will not say which one
----------------------------I don't think Canelo would have gotten all of his guys out by KO and maybe would not have 'won' all of them.....
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...820918&page=10
thinks that Golovkin has faced more quality opposition than almost any other fighter in history.....
----------------------------Originally posted by Boxing1013never had a slip up against quality opposition, and he faced probably more of them than almost any other fighter in history...
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...d.php?t=824905
thinks that Andre Ward is no better than Bika Barrera and Miranda
----------------------------I just never really saw the skills from him..... if he was born in a different country I don't think he would have been looked at much differently than Bika Barrera or Miranda etc.....
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...2#post19903762
thinks that Golovkin has 5-6 'great' wins..... but cannot even name 1 of those 'great' wins
----------------------------Yeah he has about 10+ good wins imo...and 5-6 'great' wins if you want to term it that...great fighter, great career...an ATG at MW...that's pretty clear I think..... If a great win is a dominant win over another prime great fighter...I would say GGG has quite a few tbh.....
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...821123&page=20
thinks that Lemieux, Murray... are the same level as Canelo/Jacobs
----------------------------Lemieux, Murray pretty clearly around the level of SD Canelo Jacobs...
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...9#post20112309
thinks that Murray Lemieux Monroe and Vanes, are better wins for Golovkin..... than Lara Cotto Trout and Mosley, are for Canelo.....
----------------------------Canelo's top wins would be Lara..Jacobs and Cotto imo...GGG's would be Jacobs, Murray and Lemieux...I don't see a ton of separation there..... winning 7-5 vs a great Lara...and going 12 with a shot fat Cotto...is not imo better than 8 Round destruction of Lemieux...and 11 round destruction of Murray..... Vanes was inactive and moving up in weight...but he wasn't shot like SSM more or less was..... I don't think going 12 with Mosley when Canelo did, or 12 with Trout, are better wins than GGG running through Monroe and Geale.....
https://www.boxingscene.com/forums/s...820918&page=16
creates a thread misquoting Steve Weisfeld.....
Boxing1013 attempted to remove defence, ring generalship, and effective aggression, as official scoring criteria..... to justify why he thinks Golovkin beat Canelo in their rematch..... but, had NO IDEA that Steve Weisfeld was AN OFFICIAL JUDGE at the Canelo/Golovkin rematch..... and Weisfeld scored that fight for Canelo looool

Hey man if that's how you really see it..that's cool...I saw you voted that GGG deserved a draw against Canelo in fight 1...that's surprising considering your comments about GGG and Canelo...doesn't really add up imo.Comment
-
like I just told you on the other thread... you casual-fans are clueless about styles/levels/weight
you have no understanding about levels
which is why you were ****** enough to say that Lemieux and Murray, are on the same level as Canelo/Jacobs... who are not even on the same level lol
you, pretending to be a boxing authority... but then making ABSURD excuses for Lovekin... doesn't really add up imoComment
