Which of these two gentlemen happen to be the biggest cherrypicker? IMO, it's clearly Golovkin.

TBH, Golovkin just comes across as a big coward. Has stayed at 160 lb his entire career, dragged Kell Brook up in weight, fought bad opponents instead of Andrade while waiting Canelo to give him a payday, etc. TBH, I've never seen a fighter get this so hyped for doing so little.Comment

I don't like Canelo, but... He is fighting guys like Kovalev, when did Golovkin ever do something like that? It seems pretty clear that Canelo is seeking out huge challenges while Golovkin is satisfied with fighting guys like Steve Rolls, Vanes Martirosyan, Kell Brook and Dominic Wade... While I can agree that Rocky Fielding isn't anything special, he's still several leagues above those guys AND a weight division above them.Comment

I saw enough of the Canelo Kovalev fight to realize there was no huge challenge. It was smoke and mirrors. I give credit to Canelo for fighting Golovkin. The Jacobs match was tarnished because of the rehydration clause but he still took a risk. Canelo is a very good fighter but there were lots of stumbling blocks put in the road of his opponents. Favorable unjustified scoring, hand wraps, gloves, drug failures, catchweights, rehydration clauses, the ages of his more famous opponents and Canelo weight. This list is getting pretty long. How many other current fighters have a list of controversial events like this. Very few. Yes as fighters become celebrities people are going to jump on them but that doesn't change the fact that there is a long list.I don't like Canelo, but... For some weird reason, it seems like Golovkin-lovers are attacking Canelo all the time in order to justify Golovkin's miserable and boring career... I just don't get it.Comment
