DAZN have a big problem because they signed GGG to a huge contract when they didn't need to do that balloon figure. Golovkin is a smart operator, he held his nerve and squeezed more out of GBP and then he played DAZN.

DAZN should just have Canelo agree to fight Andrade, Smith of Golovkin - let him choose. Tough fights but look at the money he's making.

Like him or not, Canelo has managed to elevate himself to a position where he can pretty much pick his fights.
        Is Bivol with Dazn?

Canelo should forget about 160... there are no big fights at middleweight, and moving back down in weight would be a bltch

Canelo should stay at 168/175... Benavidez, Smith, Plant, Beterbiev... are all better fights than Andrade, and Canelo already beat the 2 top middleweights

clean out SMW, let Beterbiev build that fight up at 175 by establishing himself... and if Golovkin makes sense at 168 then so be it

Or DAZN can be THE BOSS in this position since they are the one signing the paychecks and say YOU ARE FIGHTING this boxer OR we sue you in court for non compliance and keep you sidelined for the next 3 years in court and waste away your prime.

They won't do that thou because they are *******.

that is the official justification for the " Franchise " title

I don't like the Franchise title... I think that Canelo should have to fight mandatories, but only if they make sense

organisations like the IBF justify the WBC Franchise title 100%

Canelo will make a MUCH better fight then the IBF, as he just proved

"there is nothing in my contract that binds me to a trilogy fight with Golovkin"

Hoya lied to DAZN about Canelo's willingness to fight Golovkin

                that has all been well-documented

You have to understand where Alvarez is coming from.
                  Canelo thrives on challenges.
That's why the diva moved to 168 to fight the feared Rocky Fielding.
And then down to 160 to fight a guy GGG had defeated.
And finally up to 175 to fight the Krushed, sorry Krusher.
The diva (& his fans) do love a challenge.

He stops GGG this time especially with him coming off a very tough fight vs Derevyenchenko this late in his career

I was willing to give him credit if he beat Kovalev with no restrictions but we all know now the truth about the restrictions.
Yea...it probably represented bigger business in September than now after ggg looked bad vs derev.

Even with the restrictions, canelo still would have gotten a lot of credit, but after seeing the version of kovalev who showed up and how he fought, it definitely diminishes the accomplishment somewhat.
