Canelo knocked Kovalev the F out!!! Period. There’s no he’s fed opponents talk or he’s protected talk that can be supported by this result. He went up in class against a former champ and won decisively. I didn’t think he could do this but he did it. Canelo deserves respect

This is why people don’t like Kovalev. He can never give another fighter props after he loses. There is always an excuse with this guy. Just say you got beat by the better man. Tomorrow or next week, it will be Buddy’s fault or something else.

Kovalev after the fight:

I don't think anything he said here is untrue. Canelo knew Kovalev was ripe for the taking and I'm not going to give him more credit than he deserves here

I'm truly amazed at how many people are giving Kovalev points/rounds for those pitty paddy non punch jabs he was throwing. You guys gotta change your scoring criteria. Had it been a solid jab, i get where you're coming from but a lot of the punches kovalev was throwing where inconsequential. Score clean effective punching above all else and you'll see how canelo was winning.

God, when i think i don't know anything about this sport i come read these rbr's, makes feel better about muy self. Really, I mean "why doesn't Kovalev come with the power what's he waiting on etc etc..." Could it be that any time hee did ANYTHING other than jab he was made to pay for it? Me personally I think Size ( height, reach ) matters more than weight. But I guess it all depends on what division ur in. Cleary it’s not all relative. Nobody makes a big fuss over HW being 5” taller or 30ln heavier than their opponent.

Ok so I'm not the only one who thought this was a bull***** fight. The whole damn thing looked staged to me. Kovalev's tap tap punches. I won't be convinced that Canelo is for real until he beats a prime hungry champion. I give no credit for this bs fight.
