Oscar himself already stated the weight had nothing to with it. ODLH says that people try to discredit Manny for his brutal beating he put on him because they’re haters. Oscar himself already stated Manny was his toughest opponent of his career and he’s glad that it was Manny who retired him.

Manny is a special fighter once in a lifetime. He absolutely dominated Oscar despite being much smaller plus Manny was in his prime.

Canelo is a huge favorite despite being smaller.

Just shows that actual reality that Manny was such an underdog and still overcame a huge underdog status and retired Oscar.

We’ll see how good of a performance Canelo puts on against Kovalev.

Remember, Canelo really broke out after the Cotto right which honestly wasn’t very impressive of a performance. Cotto gave him a good fight and Cotto was already way past his prime and older.

Manny TKO’d a prime Cotto and knocked him down several times thru the fight.

MANNY THE TOP 3 ATG BOXER EVER!!

And most thought Oscar would not only win but could very well end Pacquiao, that his life could be in danger.

People wanted the fight stopped because of the threat they believed to Pacquiao's life.

As a result the odds favor canelo & he is not the favorite you say he is actually a 3.5/1 favorite & a bet on Kovalev still means you only win 3/1 odds. Odds just depend on how ppl bet, odds are intended to get even action on both fighters so the house doesn't go bust, popular fighters always have better odds & almost everyone in vegas are nelo fans
delahoya fans underestimated Pac, calling him a midget.
when the midget bustedup delahoya there goes the weight-drained excuses

Catapulted him into superstardom because he retired De La Hoya.

When Oscar fought Floyd people were arguing Oscar won.

When Manny fought him, there was no argument. Oscar quit on his stool and retired thereafter.

                MANNY GOES FOR THE FINISH!

Pac's rise as he ascended the weight classes was nothing short of legendary. When he initially moved up to 135lbs to fight David Diaz, they were questioning whether he can mix it up with the bigger guys as he's been in the game so many years and been in so many wars.

Pac is a one in a lifetime fighter fo sho. Pure badass.

Yeah, I remember people telling me if Pacquiao fought Margarito, they would not need a stretcher go take Pacquiao out of the ring they would need a mop and bucket.

Yet Pacquiao fights him at 150lbs, so he is even bigger destroys Margarito and carries him in the final rounds, and the same people saying he had no chance 18 months earlier now claim it was cherry picked easy fight.
