Canelo huge favorite compared to Pac who was the underdog

People like to talk down Pacs win over old ODL going up 2 weight divisions but going into the fight ODL was the favorite

odds were ODL -180 Pac+160, compared to Canelo who is a -420 and Kovalev +360

How many times must it be said DLH was weight drained(by his own ****** accord),& odds do not equate to probabilities. The fact that Canelo fights killers constantly means his haters are so retárded they act as if hes supposedly going to beat up the at worst #2 lhw champ easily just because they are ****** haters that refuse to give the fighter taking the most risks any credit. As a result the odds favor canelo & he is not the favorite you say he is actually a 3.5/1 favorite & a bet on Kovalev still means you only win 3/1 odds. Odds just depend on how ppl bet, odds are intended to get even action on both fighters so the house doesn't go bust, popular fighters always have better odds & almost everyone in vegas are nelo fans

Yes this is true. People thought Oscar would fight better. Oscar trained wrong for the fight and it hurt him although Pac would have won anyway. Oscar was at 147 way too early and it weakened him. It's not the proper way to make a low weight. Experts expect Canelo to win because he is in his prime while Kovalev seems to be ready to be beaten by a very good fighter like Canelo even if Canelo is smaller.

Pac after having just 1 fight at 135, was required to move up 2 more weight classes for that fight, its very hard for a fighter to move up 3 weight classes in such a short period of time. Its like after Pac proved that he can be pretty dominant at WW, that people suddenly forgot how ridiculous the fans and media though of the fight and how much criticism ODLH received for such a blatant cherry pick opponent.

Oscar hadn't fought at welterweight in 7 years and wasn't a champ anymore

People use the "odds" as evidence that Oscar was the favorite for the fight.

I question did the odds makers, gamblers, book keepers or whatever know that he was rehydrating with IV to inflate his sucken eye balls? Probably not.

I mean who would you have put money on knowing how dehydrated Oscar was?

No it wasn't a good win on Manny's part. Get over it

And most thought Oscar would not only win but could very well end Pacquiao, that his life could be in danger.

People wanted the fight stopped because of the threat they believed to Pacquiao's life.

Despite De La Hoya's setbacks that fight, he seems to still give Pac alot of respect and praise for dominating him the way he did.

I remember it being called a Circus act. Even during the fight when Pac was dominating, someone asked Lampley if Pac could potentially fight Margarito and he replied "NO. And even he himself says he's moving back down in weight after this fight."

Pac's rise as he ascended the weight classes was nothing short of legendary. When he initially moved up to 135lbs to fight David Diaz, they were questioning whether he can mix it up with the bigger guys as he's been in the game so many years and been in so many wars.

Pac is a one in a lifetime fighter fo sho. Pure badass.
