Not to be a pedantic **** but I think you may have misread the blurb. It says "Although Canelo didn't ask for a *catch weight*, there is a rehydration clause in the contract". So it's not saying "He didn't ask for the RC, but there's one anyway", but rather "Although there's no CW, there is this other bull****". Easy to misread though.

Nah, we know. We also know Kov contending with a RC multiple times previously per IBF mandate is irrelevant here as this isn't an IBF title fight and the sole reason for its inclusion here is to put Kovalev at a disadvantage. Kov could have weighed ****ing 170 on fight night in his last five outings...that he has experience with this and may well not be markedly affected tomorrow is clearly beside the point. It's yet another Canelo asterisk. And less "outrage" and more an eyeroll, but hey.
