yall gotta understand that canelo is NOT a small guy... yes, he's fighting in a division he has never fought before but weight wise, that's prolly what he walks around at.

You sound like a Canelo fan making it out like he's actually doing something great.
Canelo was bigger and that was 6 years ago and PEDs do help, and his opponent was nearly KTFO and retired only 6 weeks ago.

Not to be a nit-picking nelly but Alvarez was never a 'power puncher' he was known for being the opposite actually and more of a light punching boxer, which is why everyone basically wrote off Kovalev as being washed after he got badly KO'd by him.Yeah, I don't get why people are just expecting Canelo to move up and beat Kovalev so easily. I'm still not sure what him and his team were thinking either. His power didn't even seem too effective at 160.
Kovalev fought Andre freakin' Ward on even grounds in two fights until that bizarre stoppage. Canelo is good but nowhere near the skillset level of Ward nor does he have the size. Sure, Kovalev got stopped by Alvarez, who is a power punching clubber, but he thoroughly washed him in a rematch. Full credit to Canelo if he wins this in style.Comment

Yes, in the past Kovalev’s weight has hovered around 190 but Against Yarde and in his second fight with Alvarez, Kovalev was closer to 180 than 185. It’s why there is no hydration clause. Originally Gomez had asked Duva about a catch weight for Kovalev, Duva said no. He then asked about a second day weigh in , she said sure. There isn’t a special restrictive one in this fight because it would not achieve anything.
It makes me wonder if this isn’t a miscalculation by Canelo’s camp. They restricted Fielding, Chavez and even Jacobs but now they are in a position of having to fight Kovalev without weakening him first.Comment

Exactly. Look for Kovas camp to TRY to put weight on and use their height, reach, power, and weight to their advantage.Yes, in the past Kovalev’s weight has hovered around 190 but Against Yarde and in his second fight with Alvarez, Kovalev was closer to 180 than 185. With Yarde stamina was going to be the issue
With Canelo size will be. That and an active and accurate jabComment
