Comments Thread For: Team Haney: Seems Like The People Are Brainwashed By Bob Arum

Bill Haney doesn't mind being questioned why his son, unbeaten Devin Haney didn't sign a deal with Top Rank if their ultimate goal was a crack at unified titlist Vasiliy Lomachenko. The father and head trainer of the rising lightweight start also doesn't mind explaining-unfiltered and in full detail-his reasons for not going that route, instead signing with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA and DAZN for his current career path.

Devin Haney is the real deal! IDK why anyone would hate on this kid.
He's mature beyond his years and he has a great sense for making good business decisions... Not to mention that he can really fight!
This kid will be a top 3 P4P fighter within the next 2-3 years....
I'm looking forward to his development...

I agree. He is a great talent. I just hope they dont do a Lopez out of themselves and come with the narrative that Loma is ducking then. Seems like what they trying to say

I don't see Haney beating Loma right now. But I do feel his chances get better after each Loma fight due to the mileage Loma has & the fact that he just flat out isn't as good at 135 and he's not gonna get any better, whereas Haney can and will get better

Truthfully, Haney has been protected. & I challenge anyone to prove otherwise. He looks spectacular because no one hes fought had a chance at beating him. We can't name 3 guys that we genuinely though Haney was gonna have a hard time with.

That's what makes it hard to gauge how good he's really is. We've seen Loma pushed in the ring by quality opponents and overcome. we haven't seen that with Haney. Look how lackluster Teofimo looked when he couldn't get his many outta there so quickly, he's been pretty quiet ever since

Loma is overrated dude. Lost to a journeyman and got dropped. Has only 15 or 16 fights and he's supposed to be the best? Oh just stop it Lmao

Well hopefully we get to see Loma-Haney by next fall if not sooner...
I'm a fan of both guys so I'll be rooting for a great fight and let the best man win..
