Comments Thread For: Haney: I Want Lomachenko Right Now, Not When He's 'Older'

Haney doesn't deserve a shot, he has to earn it, and he has made zero attempt to earn it, and has only padded his record.
He needs to step up and grow a pair and earn that shot.Originally posted by Flo_Raiden View PostThis right here. I find it amusing how Lomachenko, the guy who is a legit elite fighter and clearly one of the best P4P, is the one being called a "bum" still. If Loma's a bum, what does that make Haney?
What exactly does a name a poster called him have to do with whether or not Haney gets a shot at Loma's titles?

Because he ain't got a belt.
Loma has 3 mandatories but wants to unify the division.
If Haney wanted the shot she should have got a belt.
Who has Haney fought?
What is the best name on his record?
Loma is going for greatness not mediocrity.
Beating Haney does little for his legacy.
Unifying a division two weight classes above his natural weight puts him among the elites in boxing history.

Why would any boxing fan not want to see them in the ring against each other? It would be a great fight.
Certainly more compelling going in than Crolla or Campbell were.
What is Haney's excuse for not taking big fights?
Again with Petrov, Haney is take easy options.

If Haney is indeed Loma’s mandatory where they will have to fight soon then so be it, I’m fine with that. You guys are acting like I don’t want to see Loma fight Haney down the road. I mainly have an issue with putting Haney in such a high pedestal all of a sudden when he hasn’t achieved anything yet. I would rather he did something worth a damn first before getting his shot with Loma, but since he’s the mandatory then it is what it is.
Just don’t turn your backs on Haney if he were to lose to Loma.

Loma will fight the winner of Commey v Lopez and then unify the division.
He may have one more fight at lightweight, if Davis is there, if not he will go back down and win titles at feather and superfeather, maybe hold 3 titles across 3 weight classes.
Then he will retire.
Haney adds nothing to his legacy, he has no belt has no great wins.
Much more better legacy fights out there for Loma.

Lomachenko wants to fight the best, champions, not a guy who has done nothing.
And what is Haney's excuse for doing nothing in 4 years and in 23 fights?
