Loma won't take this fight because there's nothing in it for him. He wins - he gets nothing and who has Haney fought? If he loses - he loses reputation.

Haney can't lose if he wins or loses unless he puts up a terrible performance.

Young fighters don't always see the reality. I wish Loma would take the fight though. I want to see it.

There's always a fighter that Lomachenko is apparently afraid of whenever someone calls Loma out. And somehow the pressure is on Loma to fight an unproven prospect (lol). I'm really amazed how a young prospect, who has only looked good against unranked bums is getting props for calling out Loma and yet Loma is the one being called a scared "bum" despite his P4P status and achievements. What am I missing here?? I'm okay with Haney wanting Loma and I do admire his hunger but let the kid improve himself more. It's ridiculous how people are egging Loma to "step up", as if Haney is supposed to be this elite champion when he has done absolutely nothing.

At this point I'm all for Loma fighting anyone, even if beating an unproven prospect does nothing for his legacy. If it means silencing these people that are trying to latch on a fighter that they HOPE would beat Loma I'm all for Loma vs Haney being made soon. After Loma gives Haney a boxing lesson I can guarantee that people will quickly turn their backs on Haney and jump on to the next "threat" to Loma. It's happened with Rigo and it'll happen again.

If he takes on Loma and wins the sky is the limit, if he loses no shame to lose to one of the top fighters p4p in his young career.

Haney has been a pro for 4 years, had 8 more fights that Lomachenko and has won nothing.

While Lomachenko has won 5 world titles, become a 3 weight world champ, unified the lightweight title twice and have fought 8 world champs.

Haney doesn't deserve a shot, he has to earn it, and he has made zero attempt to earn it, and has only padded his record.

He needs to step up and grow a pair and earn that shot.

This right here. I find it amusing how Lomachenko, the guy who is a legit elite fighter and clearly one of the best P4P, is the one being called a "bum" still. If Loma's a bum, what does that make Haney?

And Haney is fighting Petr Petrov next.

He is not even stepping up to the next level bellow Loma or even the level bellow that.

If he wants the big fights then fight the big fighters and climb that ladder.

                    I like this guy

He's not a coward like FMJ was with Pac and Canelo was with GGG. Fight the man when he IS the man.

The fact of the matter is that Haney is Lomachenko's mandatory. So that means he has earned his shot according to the sanctioning body.

Why would any boxing fan not want to see them in the ring against each other? It would be a great fight.

Certainly more compelling going in than Crolla or Campbell were.
