  • Comments Thread For: Haney: I Want Lomachenko Right Now, Not When He's 'Older'

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Devin Haney has got rules on his side. After all, the 20-year-old lightweight born in California and residing these days in Las Vegas became the mandatory challenger to WBC champ Vasyl Lomachenko with a dominating defeat of Zaur Abdullaev last month in midtown Manhattan. But even if the fight doesn't materialize right...

Bumchenko don't have much left, Vasily is at the end of his prime despite having less than 16 professional fights as a pro. Bumchenko will be over the hill next year ( 2020 ), he might not make it back to featherweight without taking another loss.

Devin Haney will only get better, Bumchenko needs to man up and fight the boy, NOW.

A bum doesn't become 2 time Olympic Gold medalist, World Champ in his 2nd pro fight, 3 weight World Champ in his first 12 pro fights and most likely Undisputed World Champ in 16 pro fights. If you want to call someone a bum then its TRIPLE BUM (GGG) who is scared to move up his entire career despite that he barely makes 160. He continues to fight smaller men like Canelo and Derevyanchenko or journeymen like Martirosyan, Rolls and Szeremeta next.

Two time Gold-medalist in two weights Robeisy Ramirez just lost in his pro debut, Bumchenko lost to Orlandoe Salido, that guy sucks! Vasily was the heavy betting favorite and still could not get the job done.

You talk about Vasily becoming 'World Champ' in Bumchenko's second pro fight, but answer me this...do you deserve a second world title shot ( WBO feather) right after losing? Bumchenko needs to thank Salidoe for getting stripped of the WBO feather-weight title on the scales, Vasily did absolutely NOTHING to deserve another chance at gold.

Toprank made good on their contract, providing Vagisil undeserved world title opportunities -- that's how Arum managed to sign Bumchenko.

You talk about him accomplishing winning another title at Superfeather-weight against the great 'Rocky' Martinez?! Did you know Orlando once again was the reason Bumchenko got his hands on his second world title? Arum rigged the scores in the rematch between Martinez vs. Salido II, it was considered one of the biggest robberies of 2015! So Bumchenko was safe from Orlando who had already whooped him at 126 and the passage to another world title in bum 'Rocky' Martinez was cleared.

You been brainwashed by the media at ESPN and Toprank, I can keep going on about this fraud Bumchenko. I answered those exaggerated claims by you guys too many times.

            SCHOOLS OUT.

I like the way Haney is keeping busy. I wish more fighters did the same, and I hope Haney keeps busy as his career continues.

He'd put up a good fight against Loma, no doubt. I don't know if that fight will happen though. Loma has had a clear direction for a while now, and boxers who want to fight him have to get into the path Loma has chosen (i.e. grab a title at 130 now, and you will be fighting Loma soon).

Haney has a bright boxing future.

Then what is the delay Loma? Then come and get it motherfucker? If Spence can fight Crawford before he is done unifying all of the title belts on the PBC side, then why can't Vasily Lomachenko do the same on the Top Rank side?

Why can't he fight his WBC mandatory challenger before becoming undisputed? Also, why is the bar set higher for Erroll Spence, Jr than it is for Vasily Lomachenko? These are just some of the questions, that I would like to know.

Well maybe fight someone above the level of Petrov to catch Loma's attention?
Fight a top 10 Lightweight in the meanwhile?

Otherwise you'll have to wait for your shot after he captures all the belts...
