But how close did that one come from ending early in Johnson’s favor? Maybe one or two accurate punches?

Not that close tbh, Beterbiev was dropped but recovered quickly. Bearing in mind he was also a little rusty from inactivity.

Definitely a good fight to see. Besides Bivol, the other LHWs who I would like to see fight Beterbiev are Kovalev (I think Beterbiev KOs him in the middle rounds), Zurdo, and Benavidez if he were to move up.

Not to take anything away from Beterbiev, he is a BEAST but some punches did land to the back of the head which is very dangerous
I agree. I also noticed the elbows that were being used in close. Gvozdyk is a great champion and glad his health is ok. Hopefully he takes further time to evaluate his health.
No rematch please! Beast won and was superior. Gvozdyk has nothing left to try and prove with Beterbiev.

Gvozdyk gave it all in the ring.. And by scorecards was winning.. But Beterbiev was just too much that night, hopefully they will meet again. He will bounce back!

It was a great fight Beterbiev is dirty af elbows shoves and head butts Gvozdyk wasn’t able to adjust to those tactics any future opponent will need to be more rugged

Keep in mind that Beterbiev fought at HW in the Olympics and lost to Usyk. He can easily campaign at CW and he's naturally bigger/sturdier than the other LHWs.

Fighters out dog him in order to beat him, and I'm not sure there's any LHW out there that can do that.

Out boxing him is one thing, it's keeping up with him for 12 rounds and holding up to his punching power that is the other issue.

Beterbiev might be the best boxer in the world but those punches to the back of the head were a huge problem. Teddy's gameplan was all wrong which had Gvozdyk taking way too many of those shots, but still, the refs need to do their jobs better.
