I usually enjoy neutrality when watching! However for some reason my brain is quite heavily invested in AJ, purely because of how much more popular boxing has become (in the UK especially), because of him. I love the sport to bits and although a lot of them are entirely clueless, lots more casuals talk boxing while AJ is up and flying. Boxers make more, theres more events and the sport is generally just healthier. Of course I still wish Ruiz good luck, however i'm hoping AJ puts on a great performance, with a late ko. (I've even bought tickets to the fight )

I see two possible outcomes of this fight: Ruiz stops Joshua again, or Joshua outboxes Ruiz.

Joshua must fight like Wladimir Klitschko against smaller men.

I just hope we get another good fight and that whoever wins goes on to unify with whoever's holding the WBC title in a few month's time. While I have a lot of frustrations with how Joshua's career has been managed in the last couple of years, I don't dislike the man himself and I don't really want to see him brought down low - but at the same time it's hard to dislike Ruiz either - he's got one of boxing's all-time great underdog stories under his belt and it'd be sad to see that end so soon.

He just needs to be himself and block scumbags like Hearn and the white noise. Go back to his natural weight of 240 or slightly below to stay nimble and for his gas tank. And box smartly with composure. If he can do what he did against Parker but time his uppercut and use it more. Then grab when he needs to - he should make Ruiz quit before the 10th rd, either by KO or by a nasty injury.

But if he goes in there trying to please people with Hearn the scumbag around - the it won't be pretty.
... everybody fully understands your point... but after a late, late replacement mops the floor with you four times it's pretty much over... don't you think?...

To be fair, people said the very same thing about Klitschko on more than one occasion! I think he now has the longest reining heavyweight title run in boxing history? Admittedly, among a weaker scene, but people still said it regardless.

A late replacement after a 9-month break with match rust and a full training camp for a next boxer who isn't similar (taller, slower hands, fatter and less boxing skills). When you do late replacements, you don't pick a better boxer with the worst style matchup who just had a full training camp and just fought a similar boxer - you pick an easier opponent.

Almost everything was in Ruiz's favour and regardless of what the idiots say, even Ray Charles saw that AJ was not fit from the week leading up to the fight. Even on fight night - he looked out of place. And with all that, he could've easily won if he had been more cautious after the KD and kept boxing.

The rematch is completely differently. Full training camp for Ruiz and he knows what to expect. He has lost a lot of muscle mass and that should help his gas tank. All he just needs to do is fight like he has always does before Ruiz. Use his vicious uppercut and time it well. Work the body because it slows down boxers with fast hands. And grab when he needs to. He also needs to land a big shot in the early rds to keep Ruiz honest.

He should beat Ruiz easily as long as he's himself and stays away from Hearn until after the fight.

... now, to be more precise: which one of the Klitschkos?... Vitali or Wlad???...

... I never said that AJ will not beat Ruiz in a rematch... I only said that AJ "is done", regardless of the rematch...

In a way I’m cheering for AJ

Ruiz has been obnoxious but he deserved his win when people mocked him as an opponent , so fair play.

I think Ruiz is just as fair as AJ in their personas.

At least Hearn gave chances to fighters outside of the match room stable to win the belts when AJ was champ. You know if Ruiz wins the rematch, those belts will just be kept under PBC if possible and it’ll ruin a lot of potential good title fights

                      AJ is far from done.

If he wins, he's a two time champion. He's a unified champion. He's the biggest commercial show in town. And he's come through adversity.

I can't stand the bs of Fury and Wilder. They don't want legacy - they want fame. I believe Joshua wants legacy and will try to get the belts with one fighter.
