    Ban boxing??

After the Patrick Day injury (along with recent deaths in the sport of boxing), people on social media are crying out to ban the sport!
Do you think there will be changes to the sport for fighters' safety?
    Your thoughts?

While Boxing has had it's unfortunate accidents it also has a rich history... Olympic sport 688 BC (Ancient Greece) 1904 (modern).

They would have to ban MMA first!!
The sheer brutality of elbows & knees to the face just doesn't cut it for me.

Exactly, BKFC and MMA would also have to be banned.
And boxing definitely has its rich history and has helped many people.

If that's the case, there's a handful of other sports they should ban too, like mountain biking for instance. PPL die riding trails more often than we think and way more often than in boxing. Hell groups of riders getting mowed off the road happens a bit too frequently which sounds unreal but true. The reality is that social media gives kneejerk reactionary ppl fuel to cry.

Social media doesn't represent the feeling of society. "The majority of tweets come from a small group of “extremely active” Twitter users, a study from the Pew Research Center found. About 80 percent of all tweets from U.S. Twitter users come from just 10 percent of users"

I wouldn’t be surprised if it did get banned sometime in the Future

The World has become so Pussified with everyone getting fake offended over everything now.

I’m sure a Fighter will Die in the near future and all these Social Media Warriors will forget about their Gucci Ban or their outrage over Plastic Straws and be in full force about banning the sport and it’ll get some traction by some some limp d.ick Politician trying to pander to these F.aggots and get it Banned

The thing is almost none of these Keyboard Activists with their fake tears acting all concerned on Social Media even care about the issue ,

There's enough to go back & watch. It would take a lifetime.

If the sport gets Banned I'll watch all the old Great fights.

Cte is no joke!! I once thought it was ridiculous to ban boxing. I even did a school project in college.

I stand corrected, as I've gotten older I'm in favor of banning boxing.

It hurts more than helps. I love boxing & watch every weekend but it should be banned it's too brutal.

If you know someone who is punch drunk.. Then you'll see. It's no joke.

                    2) Swimming. Deaths per 100,000 population: 1.77. ...
                    3)Cycling. Deaths per 100,000 population: 1.08. ...
                    4)Running. Deaths per 100,000 population: 1.03. ...
                    5)Skydiving. Deaths per 100,000 population: 0.99.
