Usyk looked slow and unimpressive, no match for top Heavyweights

Some people setting him up to fail by declaring already: "Clean Out The Heavyweight Division" "He Will Beat Wilder" "He Will Beat Andy Ruiz" "He Will Beat AJ" "He Is Better Than Holyfield"
I like Usyk since the Amateurs, I think he can be a GOOD Heavyweight. Yeah he can Out-Box all of them for sure! Instantly he is probably the most SKILLED Heavyweight second to Tyson Fury. HOWEVER, with his style he would have be perfect for 12 Rounds and at Heavyweight Carrying that Extra Weight now, that is going to be very difficult. Also Usyk is not really a slickster nor does he have the swift feet or reflexes like a Fury, he can get hit and we seen that last night and lucky for him it was a OLD Washed up Chazz Witherspoon he was fighting last night
I always thought he should take a soft touch for his Heavyweight Debut and it is a good thing he did. He needs a FEW more fights at Heavyweight before a step up vs a Povetkin or Chisora somebody like that, THEN start talking Champions
All this Wilder, Ruiz or AJ talk should be just that...TALK for now. Based on what I seen last night they all probably stop him right now. Don't have Pop to keep them off of him, they will just walk through his punches, walk him down and stop him once he gets tired
So yeah, good luck to Usyk at Heavyweight but lets SLOW DOWN Usyk Groupies with Crowning him in the most Dangerous Division in boxing where POWER MATTERS. Also be very careful what you ask for, now if Wilder was to accept his challenge, fans would then turn around and cry about how "Wilder Trying To Fight A Smaller Guy..."Last edited by sicko; 10-13-2019, 02:12 PM.Comment

I'm not sure why he would need the build up... He's already close to the right size. It's not like he'll need to feel fighting with another 30lbs, he's probably only 10 off his max
Build up isn't going to change the fact that if Wilder lands clean it's goodnight. But at the same time I'm sure he can take a jab or partial shot.
How much does he really need to learn? Then there's the real reason why he won't build up over 4 or 5 fights... he's nearly 33.Comment

Which is why I called out Schwarz and Wallin. Two guys previously undefeated that only ever lost to one of the top guys. But (should be) low risk IF Usyk is legit. THEN he can step up to someone like a Chisora or Whyte or Parker or Breezy or whatever.
In other words he hasn't impressed with his entry level competition. That's fine; fight another one at the C-level before you go to B-level and he damn sure shouldn't be talking about Wilder OR Fury at this point.
Usyk is a lot like Crawford. Accomplished in a previous class. 'eye test' in his current class. For now, accept that, raise your profile, keep racking up wins, get some CLEAR wins in the US, get your name out there. THEN go after the big dogs.
Of course we all know wilder is not fighting uysk, even if wants to. We know how these things roll.Comment
