Did anybody see Bud Crawford at the Spence-Porter fight??? Was he sitting ringside or was he somewhere fishing with Bob Arum? I don't recall Crawford getting in the ring afterwards challenging Spence, I believe that was Danny Garcia...

Only time I see Crawford speak about fights he's busy trying to justify his upcoming match with some guy from the mountains of the Ukraine no one has heard of!!

Im dying to see this fight. That said, My opponion is this matchup hasn’t marinated long enough to bring casual fans to the PPV table. Spence & management knows it. Spence isn't afraid of Crawford.
I love Crawford. Hes my favorite BUT hes small. His only way of winning a fight with Spence is to OUTPOINT him. Thats it. It can be done but wont be very exciting. Spence is a big welterweight with skills enough to make a fight of it.

Its a 50/50 fight. Errol is the volume puncher & Bud is the harder puncher. They both southpaw...they both can be hit. It should be a good fight if it happens..

Notice Spence isn't tweeting his PPV numbers from his fight with Porter. Pretty sure it flopped at or below 300K. He is running out of leverage to avoid Crawford with a $2M purse from this last fight and a percentage of marginal PPV numbers. After he fights Danny, he won't have any marquee names to match against. Pac won't be fighting him and there aren't any more lightweights moving up to fight either.

Crawford is itching to get at Spence but he hasn’t fought anybody at welter except Jeff Horn and a damaged Benavides. Kell Brook claims he turned down a fight. He won’t fight Porter, claiming they’re good friends and he’s going after Spence who’s got other fights lined up. So, in the meantime why not try and fight Thurman or some other better known fighter?
Time is on Spence’s side because Crawford will degrade as time goes on. We all want to see this fight but I think Crawford should fight better competition while waiting for Spence!

Why not if the price is right Al. Crawford should take less pay 35/65 versus Spence or Pacman in order to make the fight Floyd/Pac!

Crawford AND Arum are both on record saying they want 50/50 split. You don't get 50/50 split when your draw is not equal.

His welter resume is SO bad you likely forgot he also fought Amir Khan. And do you know why that was a forgettable win? Because unlike Danny Garcia, Crawford had to low blow Khan to get him out of there 9 rounds after the start bell.

See, those asterisks are what really hurt Crawford. Benavidez with a hurt knee, Jeff Horn with a thrown off camp cycle due to a su****ious and magically fast hand injury from Crawford, and a low blow on Khan rather than a chin/neck knockout as he was expected to do. Why should Spence accept and if he does, I don't see Crawford being worth more than 20%.

Meanwhile Spence has one asterisk win: Kell Brook, and it's almost a non-issue because Spence went over to BROOK's house (meaning Brook had every advantage) and stopped him. Had Crawford gone over to Brisbane and beat Jeff Horn, I might have given him that one, but I think everyone knows Crawford would have lost his '0' had he done that.

I don't know why Bob Arum is still relevant. King was ran out of boxing, but at least he got fights made. Getting a fight made with an Arum fighter has always been a tough task. I'm still shocked to this day that De la Hoya vs Trinidad took place while both were in their primes. King and Arum putting their top undefeated fighters in the ring together. That itself is a 30 for 30 episode on how that was accomplished.

The fact is, if you want to make majority money, you have to have leverage.

Crawford has ZERO leverage at this moment.

And seeing how he has no plans to fight anyone worth a damn until Spence.

He will continue having ZERO leverage.

So you will see how bad Crawford really wants to fight Spence.

When his ass can barely grab 35% in negotiations because he wasn't building his brand.

Then you will see Crawford not want to fight because he can't make a 50-50 split because his name is to shallow outside of boxing hardcore fans.
