When Spence was looking for the Porter fight he pushed the idea that if you are not trying to unify and fight the best then you are ducking. Spence needs to fight Pac or Crawford if he really believes all that BS he used to convince Porter to fight him. As someone who has been in support of Spence this whole time it seems weak to talk as big as he did and now choose to back track what was said. It was also awful to even have it set up for Danny to come out after the fight without looking at all the options first this is not WWE.

Whether it's him or (most likely) his promoter acting as a barrier to the mega-fights someone of his talents should be contesting right now, it's a sporting crime.

He should be fighting big names like Spence or Porter now, he's 33 and in the end phase of his career. For Gamboa (or a shot Khan) to still be the biggest name on his resume is crazy.

The power play for Bud is to somehow get the fight with Pacquiao and take his belt. That would give him a ppv profile and the other belt along with leverage for negotiations with Spence. Unlikely but that would be my angle if I'm on his team.
