Course I ain't denying it. I think he's a excellent fighter who didn't live up to his full potential for a variety of reasons. I think he got some bad luck with his promoter and didn't get the opportunities he could have done in the early part of his career and passed on some good fights in order to get more money in the later part of his career... nothing more, nothing less.

I ain't seeing much in that narrative to explain to me the level of vitriol the guy receives, but then I didn't understand the hate on Floyd or Manny either...

I think y'all just a bit creepy with your obsessions over these guys, man. Dudes sat behind their keyboard calling any professional fighter a puzzy or a coward or whatever probably need to get out a bit more, way I see it.

People always make out GGG to be rocket science.

There’s always been shady things surrounding GGG, who’s to blame?

Let’s fast forward to modern DAZN day, cause even if we rinse and remind the traditional reasons why GGG was always criticized for, this is the newer stuff we learned:

        1.) Herman Bros fallout

        2.) Abel Sanchez fallout

3.) Hearn helping or being forced by DAZN to better help Loeffler in matchmaking? Ironically we’ve actually got the Devry fight. Aside from the IBF mando, had it not been for Hearn (DAZN) it might possibly be that GGG might have refused as well and by whose influence? Though DAZN did the same thing with Canelo regarding select fights...after Canelo’s fiasco with DAZN and telling GGG “go get a belt...”

4.) GGG was still telling everyone he wanted the Canelo fight. GGg knew what was discussed in his meetings regarding his multi-deal, “please try and secure the Canelo fight at all costs...”.

        The Quintessential problem doe...

I think most GGG diehards are gay for GGG. Look at the “lomasexual” poster. The name in itself...

You gonna tell me the big bad boxing media also gave GGG rounds the 2nd time around because he got jobbed the first time around too? Lmfao.

Yeah. A side Canelo who is the face of boxing you claim the media is out to get him lmfaoooo

All 15 of you Canelo fans. GGG lost fans lol.

The fans of GGG who saw Canelo job him twice. The same fans who saw Canelo busted for PEDs. The same fans who watched Canelo duck GGG for years at 155lbs.

The same fans who saw Canelo do everything in his power to not fight GGG because his fans know Canelo cant win outside Vegas and got jobbed twice.

Lmfao. Quit projecting. If anyone has lost fans its Canelo.

why does Golovkin/Derevyanchenko have thousands of unsold tickets?

who cares about the media... and who cares about the fans

          3x judges cannot be wrong

come on man... most trainers/fighters scored that fight for Canelo

nope... that is just fanboy dribble

the fights were there, but Golovkin did not take them

we are talking about 8-9 possible fights, so STOP BEING RIDICULOUS... you are pretending like it is 1 or 2 fights and a bit of bad luck

there is PLENTY of proof that Golovkin could have taken those fights

not only did he refuse to lift his little finger, even when negotiating with superstars... he made decisions that killed HUGE fights, completely slamming the door on them... it is clearly obvious what happened... they made decisions that were the very opposite of what a fighter would do if he really wanted the fight

FACT: they took the fights they wanted, and they passed on the rest... that fact is now CLEARLY OBVIOUS, and impossible to deny... even for the creepiest fanboys

I think we need to move on from the GGG era. It’s basically gone and we’ve done our part. GGG had his chance to do things on a big network since Proksa. As you say, badly advertised. The real reason that GGG diehards get mad is because we remind them of the years they wasted and were duped by a network. Some people, well most, actually believe a network doesn’t have ways to sell a fighter.

Come to think of it, if Ward and GGG were never really big stars their ratings-clash would’ve been like Ward vs Kovalev. What is GGG gonna act all nice with Ward at the pressers?

By the way, just a couple days ago Canelo won the 2019 Hispanic Heritage Award on Hispanic television. Surely those were watching learned whom Canelo was if they didn’t know. Why people say Canelo fans “lost” or diminished is just denialism about the Kazakh they loved.

                CANELO ERA!

Yeah. You're actually the main one of those creepy obsessives I'm talking about. Why does this guy matter to you so much, man?

Played? Mugs? Hopeless? What sort of dude even thinks like that? It's like that because you're a weird obsessive you think everyone else must be too. Golovkin's a very good fighter and I consider myself a fan (though a fighter doesn't have to be elite or even very good for me to be a fan) same way I do of many other fighters.. I hope he does well for himself and retires a wealthy man in good health, same as I do with many other fighters. That's all there is to it.

Woulda been nice if he'd taken some of the fights he passed over to pursue Canelo, but I ain't losing sleep over it, any more than I'm losing sleep over the dozens of other good fights that we don't end up seeing.

You're so deep in you don't seem to realise just howfknweird your obsession looks to someone with one foot in the real world, man.

you need to get BOTH feet in the real world and stop making excuses

this was the bottom line of an article back in 2016...

"Whatever you think of Golovkin the fighter, there is a serious mismatch here between his team’s words and their deeds"
Golovkin vs Ward: Who Is Ducking Who? Matt O'Brien takes a close look at the war of words between boxing champs Andre Ward and Gennady Golovkin.

it has been obvious for years

the guys who noticed, voted accordingly... but you guys have chosen not to notice, for some bizarre reason

                    bizarre

                    whatever

all I have ever done, is point out whenever Golovkin could have made a big fight, but CHOSE not to... the problem for you is, there has been so many... they are piling up

I can see why you are sick and tired of me pointing out how silly you guys are for pretending like it never happened... over and over again lol

After making all his fans out to be fools you'd think he'd have none left. But there's still some pathetic ****s defending him, these are the type of people that get walked all over in life. I'm pleased that i was right all along about Golovkin, i was saying years before he was expose that he was fake and a hype job, bow down Golovturds.
