Yeah i got pissed off when they did it cuz it was clearly corrupt protection of Wilder. But as Beyonce said he was only buzzed not hurt so the docs now take buzzed home fighters to one side to get them unbuzzed. Ortiz was far more than buzzed in that fight i never saw no docs jumping in to look him over.

Remember that Deontay Wilder sustained a lot of punishment in that previous round. So the doctors wanted to ensure if he was alright because if he wasn't or couldn't answer their questions properly, then they had every right to stop that fight.

This rule was implemented because of the Magomed Abdusalamov incident with his fight against Mike Perez. In that fight the doctors failed to do their jobs properly by not having Abdusalamov cleared and checked out for neurological symptoms.

He checked his own self into the hospital where the doctors discovered that he suffered a large blood clot on his brain. Subsequently the state of New York agreed to pay $22 mil to his family.

So now the NYSAC are forced to err on the side of caution to ensure that a tragedy like that never occurs again.
I was being sarcastic bro. I was trying to have fun with the "extra minute" myth

This isn't open to interpretation, no one is going to convince me that he didn't get help. Isn't that the basis of this pointless rematch? Fact was they brought him time, people digging up the excuses of another boxer that was hurt etc are gullible IMHO.

Never hurt????? BS. He was staggering around the ring like somebody who was very drunk for quite a while. I thought he was going to be knock down or maybe knocked out. He keep his feet and Ortiz seem to punch himself out and couldn't land that one more big punch.Wilder was hurt for sure.

Then why does NY do it all the time, even for B-side fighters?

NY doesn't want the doctor check to interfere with the corner's ability to work on their fighter. Which is why the doctor check is after the one minute rest period. NY does this all the time, ever since that big lawsuit.

Come on, he was clearly hurt, being buzzed is where you take a good shot, maybe your legs buckle but your back fighting and have all your senses within a second or two.
Wilder was wobbly for the last 45 seconds of round 7 , fair play to him, he recovered and returned the favour, his killer instinct got the TKO.

Wilder has also stated he 100% won rounds 1-4 against Fury,
Talking cr#p like this that any fan knows to be false makes him look deluded. He would get along really well with Eubank Jr and Amir Khan 🤣🤣

I think Ortiz will win this fight just because it's a fight Wilder doesn't have to take. He only booked Ortiz to avoid booking Joshua (when Joshua was still unbeaten). Now even Wilder doesn't want Ortiz - he wants Joshua or Ruiz!

                      Ortiz wins!
