    How Brook NEUTRALIZED Porter

how did Kell comfortably defeat Porter. Meanwhile better fighters Spence, Keith, & Garcia had a hard time against Shawn.

This echoes Floyd-Maidana-Devon Alexander. The better fighter has a harder time vs the same opponent.

    Brook Porter was extremely close.

You say they are better fighters, but all I see are a group of fighters scraping split decisions against each other - with the exception of Brook/Spence which was competitive until Brook’s injury worsened

They are all the same calibre of fighter. Look how many fights provide ample evidence for it:

    Brook-Spence until the injury
    Brook-Porter
    Thurman-Garcia
    Thurman-Porter
    Porter-Garcia
    Porter-Spence

I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I bet most of those ended up with split/majority decisions. I don’t think that’s a coincidence

Well the first thing he did was move and fight behind his jab by keeping Porter on the outside and at bay but most of all he held him for 80 percent of the time. So Porter could not work on the inside or get his punches off.

Correct answer. Spence is not a clincher. Brook will happily clinch the hell out of you to keep you from being overly aggressive against him. And Brook is a master of doing it at just the right time to stymy your momentum.

Yep, they went B-Hop and did the punch and hold routine. I actually remember Kevin Cunningham telling Alexander "just grab this mf man." Like it was literally part of their gameplan. Kell Brook should've been deducted points for all the holding he did.

Surprisingly Floyd didn't lay the clinch neutralizing game on Marcos

Floyd wanted to prove that he could do what Broner failed to do - which is beat Maidana at his own game on the inside AND take his punches without getting dropped.

"he calls himself...or his nickname is...'The Problem'...um...I think...he still got...Maidana problems, which I had to solve FOR him."

A lot seemed to work for Brook that right, especially the counter left hook. Solid timing and Brook also played Porter's game, he would lean into Porter and put his weight on top of him.
