The only things that came to my attention in this fight is that Spence doesn't have power like many people like to think he has (including myself). He doesn't have 1 shot explosive power. That's for sure. Not against real opponents at least.

Also he lumbers his punches. Whether that was because of Porter's work rate and brawling style. I don't know but Spence wasn't super crisp. His punches come like a baseball bat rather than a bullet. They land as clean as you like but they aren't pop-ing punches. They are punches that really drive through like a baseball bat or sledgehammer.

Spence is on another level with his Ring IQ though. Other than Floyd, Ward, and Canelo. I can't think of another boxer in recent memory with a ring IQ like Spence. That Ring IQ is why he beat Porter.

Crawford will talk mad s.hit to get Spence to fight him but I would not be surprised if Porter beat Crawford. I'm not saying he would but the Porter that came out tonight can definitely beat Crawford on the cards.

Spence definitely isn't beating prime Floyd or even Canelo (the best boxer active right now).
    Styles make fights bruh.

You think Spence couldn't Castillo or Maidana Floyd with his physical strength, pressure, and activity? Of course those guys came close but couldn't pull it off, but Spence could maybe pull it off.

As for Canelo, he is strong and skilled, but does he have the same kind of freaky stamina that Porter has to take those monster body shots all night and fight at such a ruthless pace all night?

We all know he has stamina issues. If it turns out Spence can take his punches, what happens to Canelo innthe second half of the fight when he inevitably gasses?

Spence DROPPED Porter. Keef couldn't even do that.

Yeah, I thought Thurman did better than Spence too. Thurman was much better at keeping his distance and he's got quicker hands. Spence was getting hit way too much. Errol even got hurt at one point. It was a close fight.

As much as I like Spence...he always seemed a bit slow/lumbering imo for an elite welterweight...I used to favor him over TC, but I think TC would be a pretty clear favorite imo to win...I haven't watched this whole fight in total but from what I've seen Errol just wasn't quick enough to keep Shawn off of him/at bay...and against better guys, you can't load up on your shots as much anyway, so your punches don't generally come off as hard.

I still rate Spence but these last two performances from him are a bit underwhelming imo

Canelo has a high ring IQ as well though.

Even higher than Spence's in my opinion.

Canelo fought GGG really well and that's a heavy puncher. So I think Canleo could handle Spence's punches as well.

I like Spence more than Canelo. So this isn't coming from a fan standpoint that I think Canelo would beat Spence.

It's more because of Canelo's experience. That I think Canelo would edge Spence right now. Spence showed me a lot from Porter to make me think that he's not ready for Canelo right now.

As for Floyd. No one is beating that man.

Yes - thats also a credit to Porter, he forces everyone into a war and a brawl. Anyone who can get a W over Porter passes my eye test

Had to dig deep and got the win in a THRILLER

I don't get the EXPOSED narrative at all but the again on this forum I don't expect BETTER! The Casuals who actually paid money for the fight and wasn't on this forum begging for a stream are RAVING about how exciting the fight was while so called "Hardcore Boxing Fans" are busy finding Negatives

Spence Jr was in a rugged fight as expected vs the most rugged man in the Division who NOBODY looks all that good against. I would LOVE a rematch instead of Danny Garcia getting a shot out of nowhere.

Styles make fights, what Porter does, nobody else fight even close to that at 147 as far as being able to get inside and rough guys up like that. Call it "Dirty" but his style keeps him in fights as you can see. If you can't take the fight to Spence on the Inside like that then, GOOD LUCK!

Nothing But Respect For Both WARRIORS! Thanks To Them for giving us REAL FANS a ALL ACTION Fight! Respect to Jack Reiss for staying out of the way and letting it happen

                    Boxing iq?

Spence didn’t look like he had incredible boxing iq that fight. He was hit a lot, a lot... the first 6 rounds were a complete toss up with the fight a draw until the knockdown. I saw nothin from Spence that told me he was adapting to porters fight style and picking him apart especially when porter was diving like a maniac in the late rounds.

Spence fought good and won a fair but close decision. But don’t even put him in the same sentence as Floyd or Canelo because you look really ******.

This is the correct answer. I didn't see this "Porter got robbed" that everyone's screaming. I saw Porter winging and missing punches despite making Spence uncomfortable. I saw Spence picking shots and Porter slipping about half of them. But overall it was a back and forth fight the vast majority of.

And it's shameful that so many people kept saying Porter was a brawler bum that would get blown out or knocked out by the 'eye test' P4P #1 elite Errol Spence. Completely disrespectful to Porter who has beaten or ended up extremely close with EVERYONE he's been in with. He's never been dominated by anyone from bell to bell.
