Just like I said would happen, the fight went CLOSE decision.

The right guy won - Spence was way more accurate. But all y'all calling a straight KO of Shawn Porter DKSAB. Period point blank.

Spence looked good. Fight went exactly as I expected.

Ready to see Crawford v Spence.

        Yes.

Shawn Porter is an excellent fighter.

I give Spence credit for carrying his power and getting that late knock down which won him the fight.

This is more for those who said Porter would get blown out, Porter can't fight, Porter's just a brawler, Spence beats prime Floyd, etc.

What you saw tonight was what I've been saying about Errol Spence. We have NEVER seen him in a true trench fight until tonight. He passed the test, only just.

This will be a signature fight for Errol. He managed to do what both Thurman and Garcia failed to do.

Porter is just rugged determination, not blessed with height or timing. I feel Bud beats both these guys. Too good to have to be in a war like that I hope.

You don't understand. Shawn Porter is trouble for ANY welter. EVERY time he's been in with true welters it's ended close with at least one judge thinking he won because of his ruthless aggression. Crawford would be no different. In fact, the Porter we saw tonight would give Crawford all kinds of hell just like he gave Spence all kinds of hell. He's just that dude like I've been telling people.

Idk. Spence is still my favorite fighter. I see some areas he could still improve. Porter impressed me a lot. I was picking a stoppage after a long grueling fight. That didn’t happen.

He passed my eye test when he was fighting in the Olympics.

The only things that came to my attention in this fight is that Spence doesn't have power like many people like to think he has (including myself). He doesn't have 1 shot explosive power. That's for sure. Not against real opponents at least.

Also he lumbers his punches. Whether that was because of Porter's work rate and brawling style. I don't know but Spence wasn't super crisp. His punches come like a baseball bat rather than a bullet. They land as clean as you like but they aren't pop-ing punches. They are punches that really drive through like a baseball bat or sledgehammer.

Spence is on another level with his Ring IQ though. Other than Floyd, Ward, and Canelo. I can't think of another boxer in recent memory with a ring IQ like Spence. That Ring IQ is why he beat Porter.

Crawford will talk mad s.hit to get Spence to fight him but I would not be surprised if Porter beat Crawford. I'm not saying he would but the Porter that came out tonight can definitely beat Crawford on the cards.

Spence definitely isn't beating prime Floyd or even Canelo (the best boxer active right now).
