Didn't Canelo hit Floyd in the arms? In one of the clips they did in his corner he said arms were hurting.Comment

If I'm not mistaken, Buddy McGirt often tells his fighters to punch opponents in the arms. I can hear him saying, "Hit him in the arms. Just hit him anywhere." Obviously he thinks it's a good strategy for breaking fighters down.Comment

It's one thing I always wished Wilder would give a go at. I think the way Marciano took guys like LaStarza and Moore's elbow centered guarding away from them by breaking their arms down as genius really. It's like going to the body to get them to drop except you don't have to worry about missing them. Hitting a man's guard it like the easiest target ever. All that's required is a hard punch and a decent gas tank.
Can't say that I know of a purposeful arm puncher since the grainy video days at least.
Could be a good move for Danny Garcia as well.Comment

That's cool. I'll try to watch some of his guys' fights and see if I can pick up on anything. Thanks!Comment
