Do Any Fighters Punch Their Opponents in the Arms These Days?

I know fighters from the past did this but do any modern fighters punch their opponents in the arms to wear them down?

I've seen Loma knock his opponents' gloves out of the way and then score but I don't recall anybody hitting in the arms which seems like a great strategy. It's legal and will definitely make it harder to hold those arms up and punch over the course of the fight.

Maybe so but it doesn't count as a scoring blow so most boxers wouldn't use up their energy throwing punches at the arms.

I can't think of anybody fighting today who targets the arms. It might work but nobody I know of uses this tactic.

It might be easier to get countered

Probably not. You really have to punch your opponent directly on the bicep for that strategy to be effective, and that isn't always easy to do.

Fatigue sets in faster and requires more energy to hit the arms and like somebody mentioned counters too.

It’s a lost art though. I dont remember exactly if Maidana used the tactic but he has the kind of style that’ll hit anywhere on their bodies.

Nope, never happens. Arms are off-limits. Two-point deduction.
