I don't think the version of Ward we saw against Kovalev was going to have anything like same success at LHW he had at SMW.
I think that version of Ward would've had success at LHW and maybe even at Cruiserweight. Usyk would've been a problem though.

I’m not even leaning towards that version besting this lighter better conditioned version of Kovalev. I mean Ward won very few of the rounds in the first half of either of their 2 fights.

But seriously, are you in fact Andre Ward? If so, I meant no offense and I really enjoy your commentary.

Ward wouldn't admit that Usyk would be a problem, because Ward still says that he could've beaten Joshua. He said that before he retired, he almost signed a 3 fight deal with HBO, and the final fight was going to be against Joshua. Ward said he would've weighed in and fought at 200 lbs against Joshua.

Ward also said that after Joshua-Ruiz, it proved to him that he could've beaten Joshua because Joshua spends too much time "trying to be a model on Instagram."

P4P #1 at what? Winng on blatant fouls.

Watching him he looks like a High School Football QB compared to Lomachenko's Tom Brady.

People probably won't remember Ward in 15 years, they'll be talking about Lomachenko the way we talk about Ray Robinson.
I think he was ranked #1 p4p by boxingscene and espn.
But i agree with you, if ward didnt have that gig at espn people would definitely have forgotten him by now

If he was just collecting checks, nah

What current LHW would you pick to beat Ward if he never retired?

                    - -U part of Son of Gollum Imelda Marcos shoe collection?

Sissy needed 3 journeyman tuneups before Kov, and you got him wiping out AJ?

                    What grade you in?

Ward said he thought about going to Heavyweight because he believed he could beat AJ. I never said I thought he would to beat AJ.

But I think that if Ward never retired he would still be able to beat any LHW, and any Cruiserweight except maybe Usyk.
