lol he got a gift draw and a md with one being a draw and the other two being 115-113. Does anyone think a 36/37 year old Canelo beats this prime Canelo? Look what GGG did at this age. Canelo has yet to have a clear cut win against GGG.

And not to be pedantic...but I never said a foreign fighter couldn't excel...just that imo the cards will be stacked against them a bit, and perhaps they won't 'excel' as much as they should/deserve based on their talents, since relatively speaking the money fighters will get favoritism.

And the money/money fighters are in the US, UK, Mexico, so those fighters will tend to get propped up a bit, since that is where the money is, and fans will tend to support their own.

I think I could make a good argument that if Lara, for example, was from the US or Mexico he would have a much different record right now...he is probably the best recent example imo, but others like GGG/Kov come to mind as well.

Yeah by the time it came for GGG to think about moving up, he had set his sights on trying to get the big money/legacy fight vs one of the smaller guys in Cotto, Canelo, or even Floyd or Manny...that's where all the money was for him really...the other big fights he tried to make at 168 or even 160 just never came off for him since he was too high risk/low reward at the time.

I think it is a bit unfair to tout his wins vs Wade and Rolls who were more or less his 15th best wins or so...Vanes was a good fighter at 154 as you said but was inactive as you said...still probably around the same 15th or so best win for GGG as well...Brook was a good enough win but as you said was jumping up in weight.

I still think running through the list of Murrays, Monroes, Lemieuxs, Oumas, Macklins, Geales, Proksas, Stevens etc was impressive when GGG did it...most even ATGs have a hiccup or two in those types of fights, if they have 10+ of them.

Yea, he did what he “had to do”. He felt pressured into fighting ggg...that’s why it took so long to make the first fight and why he’s avoiding the 3rd. I guess barely scraping by with a “win” is good enough for him...and I can’t totally fault him for that, cuz it’s been good enough for many fighters throughout history. Every close big fight doesn’t always get run back. What I’d like to know is, what happened to “if the fans want it, we’ll do it again” tho?

Pac is not from the US, UK, or Mexico.

If any cards were stacked against him he simply blew through those barriers because that's what truly elite fighters do.

So no excuses for any other foreign fighters.

And that's all he could muster. Give him credit, he had close wars with a killer in the ring. Luckily because of the judges he ended up with more than he deserved. Move on and take your stuff with you

Ouch! That's true. Truth hurts. Especially when he's a diva. He's the Elizabeth Warren of Boxing.

I don’t care either way if the score cards aren’t to whacked like I saw some only give Canelo 4 rounds in both fights?

First on I scored 7-5 GGG but won round was a tossup I gave to ggg for no really good reason so fine with a draw or GGG won 7-5. I can’t give Canelo 7 rounds though.

2nd fight 7-5 Canelo. Man He was SMOKING GGG in the 1st half of the fight but GGG stood his ground and finished strong. I can see a draw again but cannot give ggg 7 rounds because he came on to late...

Plus I was pissed how he ran out the ring crying like a poor sport. That sht is not called for in any sport.

And the issues between canaleo, dlh, and dazn’s skipper continue. And you know what? I’m with Canelo on this one. I hope Canelo gets rid of dlh, he doesn’t need them
