The fact that most ggg fans are trying to convince themselves that canelos resume isn't 10x better is why nobody listens to the crying you all do about other fighters esp. nelo. The fact that ggg has never moved even a single lb then suddenly decided to go up to 165 & a catchweight for the worst bum mismatch in history says everything about the difference between Canelo & ggg.

Are we supposed to believe that if ggg could beat the 168 lb weakest champs & Kovalev @ 175 that he would be fighting steve rolls?

Are we supposed to believe that any champ or even jr champs at 168 & up wouldn't not only jump at the chance to fight ggg but wouldn't do it for a very reasonable price? Ggg has had to eat every single bs marketing gimmick hes sold his fans all along. He ate this bs about"mexican style is real boxing, boxing or slick brotha style is running" he then proceeded to fire his "stepdad" trainer that created him & made him a name by using canelos fame.

Then he now says "my momma said I cant fight mexikan stylee no mo" & he hired a trainer to practice"slick brotha style". Ggg will always rank 50 places at least below Canelo historically UNLESS he starts fighting the types hes ducked his entire career which are:bigger men, true punchers, well rounded slick defense having fighters who aren't offering cashout money,or simply unless he fights fighters better than Kovalev.

He only fought Jacobs because hed get stripped,& even then he delayed it a yr over like 200k extra,& he dragged up a completely unproven ww instead. He held a press conference ffs to say hed duck Jacobs rematch for life yet ggg fans say Canelos ducking mini Kovalev for Kovalev snr.

Both GGG and Canelo had hard fights when they fought each other and they both fought Jacobs who is a pretty hard fight. Canelo fights Kovalev and he is a -450 to win. That means you must bet$450 on him to win $100. GGG fights Dervy who is a top 5 middleweight. GGG is also a -450 to win so the odds makers think GGG and Canelo have the same risk of losing their next fight. That is not too much risk. They are both expected to win.
Come on man, seriously. Name one fight GGG has "EVER" fought where he wasn't the favorite. Just one.

Nonsense. Golovkin took plenty of risks. Jacobs was a risk. Fighting Canelo in Vegas without a rematch clause was a huge risk. Doing the second bout in Vegas again without a rematch clause was another huge risk. Golovkin made many concessions to get Canelo in the ring and ended up getting screwed because as we all know it's about the money. The fighters that bring people to Vegas will more often than not get favorable scorecards. It's been this way for a long time. Has Canelo taken some risks? Yes but he did a lot of cherry picking along the way.

For the average illiterate casual fan Canelo beat the better opposition, lets be honest, everyone Canelo beat, GGG would have trashed even easier.

                Here is one undeniable fact:

Canelo himself wants to be retired before turning 35, because, that are his own words, "At 35 fighters deteriorate so much, that they arent the same anymore." Canelo specifially only fights opponents after they turned 35 or even older, (Baldomir, Mosley, Cotto, GGG and now Kovalev) and the rest are cherrypicked bums, or the very very few exceptions he gets a gift decision against, as was the case vs Lara.

So unquestionable, if you're not an illiterate GGG beat the better opposition, and he should have a clear win over Canelo, even while he himself was past prime and the second fight was at best a draw, so GGG should be undefeated and Canelo has losses against GGG, Lara and Floyd.

Prime GGG trashes every version of Canelo, thats also a fact. No match.

boxing historian over there. you do realize it was jacobs who was ready to walk away from the fight but golovkin paid him more than he had to so that it would happen. if ggg didn't want the fight as you portray you know what he could have done? gone to purse bid which is his right. your whole he was forced into the fight narrative is utter nonsense. what compels you do make up fan fiction?

I don't think Canelo was scared of SD of course...but then again I don't think GGG was scared of SD before either...wish some kept it a bit more real on here though.

I do feel the actual quality of fighter that each guy has fought, at the time they fought them, has more or less been the same...maybe a slight edge to Nelo but a pretty big edge in performance to GGG...he has no close fights/always was dominant so the only recourse some have is to overly slight his opposition, imo.

you said that Golovkin has a better resume than Canelo...

I don't think going 12 with Mosley when Canelo did, or 12 with Trout, are better wins than GGG running through Monroe and Geale.....
