It has yet to be proven who is the better 60pder and that is what boxing SHOULD be about. It seems like MOST(not saying you) that don't want to see the fight are Canelo fanboys who don't want to see their hero lose. So after getting a debatable dec in 2nd they just want him to stay away and keep bringing up 2nd fight like that was some kind of proof that Canelo is better. FTR I would pick Canelo to win a 3rd fight, but that's not how it should go, it NEEDS to be proved!!
    We agree to disagree.

Don't seem so fair to me.
AND he was asked to come in at 172....his promoter Duva said Nope, that ain't happening.

Canelo doesn't just own the judges, he also has to drain his opponents down below their normal fighting weight. He and his team wants to win fights BEFORE they happen. Only way Canelo loses is by KO.

Sad when fighters who earned their wins and titles fairly and never failed drug tests (ggg and kov) have to bend to the will of a 2 time drug cheat smh, and got a whole sanctioning body the wbc on his side, who make up belts just for him and judges in his back pocket lol

That's OK, and I respect that instead of a lot of people on here who just throw childish insults. Have a good Weekend and enjoy the fights.

Funny that it was only over a year ago that eddie hearn called out canelo for his drug cheating and said he will forever have that asterik in his Golovkin win, called out his physique from the weigh in and all..

Sucks for you. I know you adore Canelo but if you're going to comment on my post, at least counter what ive said instead of just crying about how I don't love Canelo the way you do. Is there a huge difference in the resumes of ggg and Canelo over the past 5 yrs? Do you think canelo would've faced Kovalev if he was still the same guy that faced ward in the first fight? At this point in time, do you really think Kovalev is the biggest risk available for Canelo from 160-175? In my opinion, there are 7-8 bigger risks than Kovalev. Especially a 36 yr old version who has been stopped twice recently and was damn near stopped weeks ago. Now has to fight on a short turnaround. Answer those questions and stop weeping.
You and I agree on lots but on this you couldn’t be more wrong. Canelo is moving up from 160, two weight divisions to face a guy that has laid down his last two opponents in his weight class. Both of which I’d surmise has more power than Canelo. The path he is in now is a much larger risk and it’s not even close. In fact I can’t see GGG, Charlo, Andrade, BJ Saunders or anyone else you could name beating Kovalev. In fact, not a single one of the above named fighters have faced a guy as dangerous as Kovalev in any of their two previous fights.

No one was *****ing when GGG faced and beat a 34 year old fighter by the name of Marco Antonio Rubio for the WBC interim title, or Loma beating a 33 year old Martinez for a belt or AJ beating a 41 yo Klitschko that was his so called “hallmark” win. Only when the name Canelo is mentioned do people come up with all kinds of excuses and reasons as to why this or that boxer isn’t sufficient enough.
